Is the 2017 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 4.71/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its luxurious feel, stylish design, and long list of features, and many also like the comfort and power, especially in higher trims. That fits a comfort-first midsize SUV well if you want a refined, family-friendly ride with a more upscale cabin than many rivals. With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable and trouble-free enough to enjoy over the long term, especially when they value comfort and features. At the same time, some shoppers mention reliability concerns, so used buyers should pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Murano?

At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you go any further. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to the transmission, suspension, and signs of uneven wear. Because this model is valued for comfort and equipment, make sure the cabin, electronics, and higher-trim features all work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Murano?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,254 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,950, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $12,950 sits slightly below last year's $14,609.

That price movement suggests the Murano has softened in the used market, which can limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to preserve value. Demand should remain supported by the model’s comfort-focused appeal and upscale presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $11,820, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $12,950 average.
• It emphasizes bold styling and a dramatic visual identity.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping position, the 2017 is the better primary target because it combines a lower current price than last year with strong owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2016 is the better secondary path, especially if you value style and can accept an older, less polished feel.
