Used 2017 Nissan Armada for Sale nearMontgomery, AL

How much does the 2017 Nissan Armada cost?

Prices have softened 14.75% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 635 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada a good car?

Generally — the 2017 Nissan Armada earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Drivers consistently praise its powerful performance, spacious interior, luxury features, and smooth ride. That lines up with the Armada’s appeal as a large three-row SUV that leans more refined and car-like than many traditional truck-based rivals. The main tradeoffs are its expensive feel and less-than-ideal gas mileage, so it fits you best if comfort, space, and a premium cabin matter more than efficiency.

Only 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you may need to shop selectively to find the best value.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as powerful, spacious, smooth-riding, and luxurious, which suggests a vehicle many owners feel good about living with over time. The expert notes also point to a comfortable, well-insulated cabin and strong performance, both of which support the sense that this is a dependable long-haul SUV for the right buyer. The cost-effectiveness notes add that it offers strong space, towing capacity, and interior design for the money.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Armada’s thirst and feature complexity can make upkeep and daily use less forgiving than smaller SUVs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Armada?

At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort and equipment, you should also test the seats, infotainment, and all major convenience features before you commit. If you’re comparing multiple listings, focus on condition and documentation first, then trim and equipment second.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SV trim includes a strong set of standard features, while the SL adds leather, a 360-degree camera, remote engine start, and driver memory functions. The Platinum adds front-seat ventilation, a rear entertainment system, and more upscale interior touches, but the base trim misses secondary safety features.
• Powertrain: Every Armada uses a 5.6-liter V8 with a 7-speed automatic transmission, and you can choose rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The setup delivers strong power, but fuel economy is a weak point, especially with AWD.
• Safety package: The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring and warning, and forward-collision warning with avoidance braking front and rear. Lane-departure warning and intervention are reserved for the Platinum trim, and the base SV cannot access the secondary safety features.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, front and rear parking sensors, and a 13-speaker Bose stereo. The system does not include Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and the expert notes call out frustrating ergonomics.
• Fuel efficiency: The Armada is rated at 14 mpg city and 19 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive, and 13 mpg city and 18 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.

Which 2017 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2017 Nissan Armada is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the value play if you want the Armada’s core strengths without stretching for extras. It already brings a strong standard equipment list, including an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, parking sensors, a Bose stereo, heated power seats, and a rear-view camera.
• SL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 360-degree camera, leather, remote engine start, driver memory functions, and more convenience features. If you want a more upscale feel without jumping to the top trim, this is the one to target.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most luxury and the most safety content, including front-seat ventilation, rear entertainment, lane-departure warning and intervention, and additional premium touches.

The base SV trim cannot access the secondary safety features, while lane-departure warning and avoidance are available only on the Platinum trim.

• Inventory: There are 635 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,121, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $14,128 sits slightly below last year's $16,572.

That decline suggests the Armada has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer pricing environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower price point, which can help cushion some depreciation risk. Strong equipment, space, and comfort should help keep it appealing to shoppers who want a large, refined SUV.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Standard equipment includes stability and traction control, full-length curtain airbags, and a rear-view camera, which gives you a solid starting point. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring and warning, and forward-collision warning with avoidance braking front and rear. Lane-departure warning and intervention are reserved for the Platinum trim, and the base SV cannot access the secondary safety features.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned 2017 model brings a new V8, a more refined cabin, and a car-like feel from its Patrol-based platform.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,675, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,128 average.
• It adds extra technology to the standard features list.

The bottom line: If you want the lower entry price and the redesigned 2017’s strong comfort and performance, this year makes sense. If you’re willing to pay more for a slightly newer model with added standard tech, the 2018 is the better alternative.
