Used 2017 Nissan Armada for Sale nearBirmingham, AL

How much does the 2017 Nissan Armada cost?

Prices have softened 14.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 641 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada a good car?

Generally — 4.4/5 from owners and 6.5/10 from our experts point to a model that lands in solid territory for used shoppers. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Drivers repeatedly praise the powerful performance, spacious interior, luxury features, and smooth ride. The Armada’s use case is especially appealing if you want a large three-row SUV with a more refined, car-like feel and long-distance comfort.

The market also shows 33.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels powerful, spacious, and comfortable, with several comments reinforcing its luxury feel and smooth ride. That kind of repeat praise usually matters for reliability-minded shoppers because it suggests the Armada is the sort of SUV people can live with over time.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes the Armada’s comfortable cabin, strong V8 power, and car-like livability, all of which support a dependable-feeling ownership experience. The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that its fuel economy and overall running costs may be less appealing than you’d like.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Armada?

At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, interior condition, and any signs of prior repair. Because this SUV is often bought for family duty and road-trip use, it’s smart to focus on seat wear, electronics, and how well the cabin has held up.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SV trim already includes auto LEDs, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a 13-speaker Bose stereo, heated power seats, navigation, a full-size spare, keyless ignition and entry, a rear-view camera, and an 8-inch touchscreen. The SL adds leather, 20-inch wheels, remote engine start, driver memory functions, auto wipers, and a 360-degree top-down camera, while the Platinum adds front-seat ventilation, a rear entertainment system, power-folding heated mirrors, lane-departure warning and intervention, and more upscale interior trim.
• Powertrain: Every Armada uses a 5.6-liter V8 with a 7-speed automatic transmission, and you can choose rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The setup delivers strong power and a 6.5-second 0-to-60 time, but fuel economy is a weak point, especially with AWD.
• Safety package: The standard safety set includes stability and traction control, full-length curtain airbags, and a rear-view camera. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring and warning, plus forward-collision warning with avoidance braking front and rear. Lane-departure warning and avoidance are available only on the Platinum trim.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, and a 13-speaker Bose stereo, but the system lacks Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interface is also described as dated and frustrating to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The Armada is rated at 14 city and 19 highway mpg, with a 16 mpg combined rating. With AWD, those figures drop to 13 city and 18 highway mpg.

Which 2017 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2017 Nissan Armada is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the value play because it already brings a long list of standard equipment, including heated power seats, navigation, parking sensors, a Bose stereo, and an 8-inch touchscreen. If you want the lowest entry price and still want a well-equipped full-size SUV, this is the trim to start with.
• SL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds leather, a 360-degree camera, remote start, driver memory functions, and auto wipers. It also opens the door to the Technology Package, which adds the most important advanced safety tech.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-focused choice, with front-seat ventilation, a rear entertainment system, power-folding heated mirrors, and lane-departure warning and intervention. Choose it if you want the most upscale Armada and don’t mind paying for it.

The safety-package note to keep in mind is that the most advanced driver-assistance features are not spread evenly across the lineup, and the base SV cannot access the secondary safety features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Armada?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 641 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,473, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $14,476 sits slightly below last year's $16,863.

That decline suggests the Armada has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer pricing environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy well now, you may be entering at a more favorable point in the cycle than someone who purchased earlier.

For resale, the key is to keep the vehicle in strong condition and avoid examples with accident history or obvious wear. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada safe?

The Armada can be outfitted with every safety system you can think of, if you’re willing to venture up the trim-level ladder.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety set includes stability and traction control, full-length curtain airbags, and a rear-view camera. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring and warning, plus forward-collision warning with avoidance braking front and rear. Lane-departure warning and avoidance are available only on the Platinum trim, so lower trims miss some of the most advanced driver-assistance features.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brought a more car-like feel, a stronger V8, and a much more comfortable cabin.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,651, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,476 average.
• It adds extra technology to the standard features list.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2017 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and a well-equipped cabin. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model with added standard technology, the 2018 is the better secondary path.
