How much does the 2017 Nissan Armada cost?

There are 645 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada a good car?

Generally — the 2017 Nissan Armada earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Drivers consistently praise its powerful performance, spacious interior, luxury features, and smooth ride. The Armada’s full-size, three-row layout and more refined, car-like character make it a strong fit if you want a large SUV for family use and long-distance comfort.

The market also shows 32.6% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with strong performance, a spacious cabin, and a smooth ride that many owners seem comfortable living with over time. The expert review also describes it as a comfortable, car-like full-size SUV with substantial interior upgrades and strong road manners.

The powertrain is shared across the lineup, and the review notes that the Armada’s 5.6-liter V8 and 7-speed automatic are built for everyday use and towing, though fuel economy is a weak point. The cost-effectiveness review also suggests you should thoroughly test the seats before buying.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a thirsty, heavy SUV with premium features can become expensive to live with if maintenance or repairs stack up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Armada?

At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body condition, interior wear, and any signs of prior repair quality. Because this SUV is often bought for family duty and long trips, you’ll also want to pay close attention to seat comfort, electronics, and how well the cabin has held up.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SV trim brings a lot of standard equipment, including auto LEDs, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a 13-speaker Bose stereo, heated power seats, navigation, a full-size spare, keyless ignition and entry, a rear-view camera, and an 8-inch touchscreen. The SL adds leather, 20-inch wheels, remote engine start, driver memory functions, auto wipers, and a 360-degree camera, while the Platinum adds front-seat ventilation, a rear entertainment system, and more upscale interior touches.
• Powertrain: Every Armada uses a 5.6-liter V8 with a 7-speed automatic, and you can choose rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The review says the engine delivers strong power, but fuel economy is poor, and AWD lowers efficiency further.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes stability and traction control, full-length curtain airbags, and a rear-view camera. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and warning, plus forward-collision warning with avoidance braking front and rear. Lane-departure warning and intervention are reserved for the Platinum trim.
• Infotainment: The Armada uses an 8-inch touchscreen, but the review criticizes the system for dated ergonomics and the lack of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SL’s 360-degree camera and the Platinum’s rear-seat entertainment system add convenience, but the core interface is still a weak point.
• Fuel efficiency: The Armada is rated at 14 mpg city and 19 mpg highway with rear-wheel drive, and 13 mpg city and 18 mpg highway with all-wheel drive. The expert review also calls out poor real-world fuel economy.

Which 2017 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2017 Nissan Armada is offered in 3 trim levels: SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• SV: This is the value play if you want the Armada’s core strengths without stretching too far. It already includes a long list of standard features, so you get a lot for the money.
• SL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds leather, the 360-degree camera, remote start, memory functions, and other meaningful upgrades. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to target.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want the most luxury-oriented Armada, with front-seat ventilation, rear-seat entertainment, and the most advanced safety content in the lineup.

The base SV cannot access any of the secondary safety features, and lane-departure warning and avoidance are available only on the Platinum trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Armada?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 645 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,105, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $14,105 sits slightly below last year's $16,548.

That decline suggests the Armada has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer pricing environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower cost basis, which can help cushion depreciation if the market stays steady.

The Armada’s strong owner satisfaction and roomy, upscale appeal should help it remain attractive to shoppers who want a full-size SUV with comfort and utility. Even so, resale will likely depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Nissan Armada safe?

The Armada can be outfitted with every safety system you can think of, if you’re willing to venture up the trim-level ladder.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes stability and traction control, full-length curtain airbags, and a rear-view camera. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and warning, plus forward-collision warning with avoidance braking front and rear. Lane-departure warning and intervention are available only on the Platinum trim, so lower trims miss some of the most advanced driver-assistance features.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a more car-like feel, a stronger V8, and a notably more comfortable cabin.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,699, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,105 average.
• It adds extra technology to the standard features list.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2017 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong comfort and solid owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a slightly more feature-rich version, the 2018 is worth a look.
