How much does the 2017 MINI Countryman cost?

There are 303 listings available, which gives you a moderate amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 MINI Countryman a good car?

Yes — 4.75/5 is a strong user rating, and the 2017 MINI Countryman’s appeal comes from its blend of MINI personality and added practicality. The overview points to a more useful shape than MINI’s smaller cars, a cabin that keeps the round central display and toggle-switch charm, and a mix of standard equipment and available features that make it feel well equipped for the class. It’s especially appealing if you want a compact SUV with distinctive styling and available all-wheel drive, though you should expect a firmer ride and less cargo space than some rivals.

31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 MINI Countryman reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a vehicle that delivers a distinctive driving character and a practical step up from MINI’s smaller models, but it also notes compromises like a stiff ride and weaker base engines. For used buyers, that means reliability-minded shopping should focus on how well the car has been maintained and whether its more complex features still work as intended over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 MINI Countryman?

At 66.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection that checks body condition, panel alignment, and the operation of the cabin and convenience features. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on its personality and equipment, you’ll want to focus on overall condition and maintenance quality rather than just mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 MINI Countryman?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 303 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,828, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 MINI Countryman's resale value?

The current average of $13,051 sits slightly below last year's $13,670.

That decline suggests the market has become a bit softer, which can work against you if you buy at the wrong price and plan to sell soon. On the other hand, the current range still gives you a clear benchmark for negotiating and for spotting listings that are priced aggressively enough to leave room for future resale. If you buy carefully and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect value when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 MINI Countryman or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, personality, and a solid user rating, the 2017 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2017’s current market position and satisfaction signal.
