Used 2017 Lincoln Continental for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2017 Lincoln Continental cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 159 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Lincoln Continental a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Lincoln Continental earns a 4.69/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the luxurious features, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and they also like the stylish design and strong value compared with other luxury options. In use, that lines up with the Continental’s role as Lincoln’s flagship sedan: it is meant to feel like a statement piece, not just basic transportation.

You should also weigh the tradeoffs that come up in owner feedback, especially noise concerns and the wish for more trunk room. Even so, the combination of comfort, style, and value makes it appealing if you want a full-size luxury sedan with a more distinctive personality than many rivals.

With 26.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Lincoln Continental reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that feels luxurious, smooth, and spacious, while also being seen as a strong value compared with other luxury options. That kind of feedback usually suggests a model that owners feel good about living with over time, especially when the car’s comfort and upscale character continue to deliver after the novelty wears off.

The expert driving notes also support that impression by describing the Continental as calm, controlled, and well suited to long highway trips. Lincoln’s concierge-style servicing and Black Label perks add some ownership appeal, though the pricing commentary suggests you should be careful about how much equipment you pay for.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright character and more about whether you choose a well-kept example with the right equipment at a sensible price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lincoln Continental?

At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then focus your inspection on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair work. Because this model is positioned as a luxury flagship, you’ll also want to pay close attention to how well the interior materials, electronics, and comfort features have held up.

Look closely at the car’s overall condition rather than assuming every example will feel the same. A clean, well-kept Continental should deliver the upscale experience you expect, but a rough one can quickly undermine the value proposition.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The top Black Label trim gets the best interior treatment, while the test car’s cabin showed that some materials can feel less impressive in lower-spec form.
• Powertrain: Three V6 engines are available: a 305-horsepower 3.7-liter, a 335-horsepower turbocharged 2.7-liter, and a 400-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo. FWD is standard, AWD is optional on all trims except the twin-turbo setup, which comes only with AWD.
• Safety package: The Technology Package includes lane-keep assist, auto braking, pedestrian detection, automatic parallel and perpendicular parking, a head-up display, and adaptive cruise control. There is no semi-autonomous low-speed self-steering feature.
• Infotainment: Sync 3 is fast and intuitive, and the available tech package adds a head-up display. The text also notes a 19-speaker Revel Ultima stereo and a digital instrument panel.
• Fuel efficiency: No MPG or MPGe figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2017 Lincoln Continental trim should I buy?

The 2017 Lincoln Continental is offered in 3 trim levels: Premiere, Reserve, Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Premiere: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Continental’s core luxury feel at the lowest starting point, but the available content suggests you may miss some of the richer cabin treatment found higher up.
• Reserve: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it sits in the middle and gives you a more upscale experience without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Black Label: Choose this if you want the most luxurious presentation and the best interior treatment, especially if cabin ambiance matters most to you.

The Technology Package is where the main safety and driver-assistance features live, so make sure the trim you choose is equipped the way you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lincoln Continental?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 159 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,868, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lincoln Continental's resale value?

The current average of $17,892 sits slightly above last year's $17,716.

That small increase suggests the Continental has been holding its value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply up or down. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern is helpful because it points to a market that is relatively predictable.

The model’s appeal as Lincoln’s flagship sedan also helps support demand, especially for shoppers who want a distinctive luxury car with a strong comfort focus. At the same time, the pricing commentary shows that options can get expensive, so resale strength will likely depend on how well your specific car is equipped and maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Lincoln Continental safe?

The 2017 Lincoln Continental has not been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The available Technology Package includes lane-keep assist, auto braking, pedestrian detection, automatic parallel and perpendicular parking, a head-up display, and adaptive cruise control. Optional inflatable seat belts are also mentioned as a rear-passenger injury-reduction feature.

One important caveat is that the car does not offer a semi-autonomous feature that self-steers in low-speed traffic, which is a notable omission for a flagship luxury sedan. If advanced driver assistance matters to you, make sure the specific car you’re considering has the Technology Package.

Should I buy a 2017 Lincoln Continental or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Lincoln’s flagship-sedan positioning and the expert summary make this year feel like an important statement model for the brand.

The bottom line: If you want the Continental’s flagship character, comfort, and strong owner satisfaction, the 2017 is a sensible year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, focus on clean, well-kept examples and be selective about options so you do not overpay for equipment that may not add enough value for you.
