Used 2017 Jaguar F-PACE for Sale nearHouston, TX

How much does the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE cost?

Prices have softened 14.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 310 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise the sporty driving experience, powerful performance, and spacious interior. They also highlight the luxury feel and excellent craftsmanship, which fits the F-PACE’s role as Jaguar’s first SUV and an all-new model aimed at buyers who want something distinctive in the luxury SUV segment.

The market also shows 37.4% good or great deals, so you have a decent chance of finding a strong-value listing if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle people feel good about living with over time, with recurring praise for its sporty driving experience, powerful performance, and spacious interior. That kind of positive ownership experience matters when you’re trying to judge whether a used luxury SUV will be dependable enough to count on.

Jaguar also includes scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance for 5 years/60,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership friction. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been cared for properly, since luxury features and performance hardware can be costly if neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Jaguar F-PACE?

At 70.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, wheel and tire condition, and signs of prior repair work, since those are the kinds of issues that can hide behind a polished listing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim is the most stripped-down version, with lower trims offering only a few driver-assistance features and a backup camera not standard on the base trim. Higher trims add more equipment and a more upscale feel, while the Premium model still leaves some buyers wanting more comfort features for the money.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, with one version tuned to 340 horsepower and the S tuned to 380 horsepower. The 8-speed automatic shifts quickly, and Dynamic Mode sharpens throttle, transmission, steering, and suspension response.
• Safety package: Available driver assists include forward-collision alert, auto braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, an attention monitor, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and blind-spot alert. Lower trims offer only a few of these features, and knee airbags for front passengers are not offered.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses InControl Touch, while the 10.2-inch InControl Touch Pro adds pinch-to-zoom maps, traffic overlays, satellite topography, split-screen functions, and a 3G connection with onboard WiFi. The digital 12.3-inch instrument display is part of the Technology Package.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel version is described as the more efficient option, while the gas V6 is the performance-focused choice.

Which 2017 Jaguar F-PACE trim should I buy?

The 2017 Jaguar F-PACE is offered in 5 trim levels: Base, Premium, Prestige, R-Sport, S.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but it’s the most stripped-down version and lower trims offer only a few driver-assistance features. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable giving up equipment.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it captures much of the F-PACE’s style and driving character without pushing you into the pricier upper trims. It still leaves some comfort and convenience gaps, so check the equipment list carefully.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and more of the luxury ambiance that makes the F-PACE stand out. It’s the trim to consider if interior presentation matters more to you than outright performance.
• R-Sport: This is the right pick if you want a sportier look and a more performance-oriented vibe without going all the way to the top trim. It suits buyers who care about style and driving feel.
• S: This is the most powerful and most fully equipped gas trim, with the 380-horsepower version of the V6 and the strongest performance focus. It’s the one to buy if you want the most capability and are willing to pay for it.

A backup camera is standard on all but the base trim, so that’s an important safety-package gap to keep in mind.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Jaguar F-PACE?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 310 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 70.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,715, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE's resale value?

The current average of $13,715 sits slightly below last year's $16,104.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less favorable if you’re planning to sell soon. A future seller may need to price competitively to stand out, especially if similar listings continue to sit in the market at lower averages.

The good news is that the F-PACE still has strong appeal thanks to its style, performance, and luxury feel. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE safe?

The 2017 Jaguar F-PACE has not been crash-tested by either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The available driver-assistance suite includes forward-collision alert, auto braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, an attention monitor that tries to detect driver fatigue, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and blind-spot alert. A backup camera is standard on all but the base trim, and 360-degree cameras are available to help with tight parking and curb protection.

One important caveat is that knee airbags for the front passengers are not offered. Lower trims also get fewer driver-assistance features, so safety equipment can vary meaningfully by trim and package.

Should I buy a 2017 Jaguar F-PACE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The first-year F-PACE stands out as Jaguar’s first SUV, and the expert review says it is strong in style, performance, and value.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of Jaguar’s first SUV and you’re comfortable shopping carefully, the 2017 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, focus on the best-condition listing you can find rather than chasing a specific trim, because the market already shows meaningful price softness and a decent share of good deals.
