Why it stands out
The 2017 Honda Ridgeline distinguishes itself from traditional pickup trucks by featuring a unibody construction that provides a smooth and comfortable ride, resembling that of an SUV rather than a typical truck. This approach not only enhances driving dynamics but also contributes to user-friendly features like a spacious cabin, multiple convenient storage options, and an innovative cargo bed design. The Ridgeline's under-bed trunk is a notable highlight, offering secure and accessible storage for tools and gear. Furthermore, with an engine output of 280 horsepower and advanced all-wheel-drive capabilities, the Ridgeline balances utility with an enjoyable driving experience. While it may not be suited for heavy-duty towing compared to its competitors, its on-road performance and day-to-day practicality make it appealing for buyers seeking a versatile vehicle.

We were looking for a truck for light hauling. Not for off-road. And I didn’t want to truck that looked all tricked out and masculine. I wanted a smooth ride, and a functional truck. We ruled out other midsize trucks because they rode like a truck. And as a passenger, the ride was unsettling. I prefer a ride like butter. Then we found the Honda Ridgeline. Because it is built different than the other midsize trucks, basically a truck body or an SUV base, it rides as smooth as silk. It doesn’t look like I’m trying to be young, or masculine or tough. It’s a classy looking little truck. The electronics inside blow me away. All of the safety features, and the space inside the backseat. It was exactly what we were looking for. I just didn’t know it existed until I found the Ridgeline.

It’s European stylings , it’s independent suspension and all wheel drive paired with the Vortech engine make the driving experience special. Drives like a sports car! The innovative utilitarian designs features such as the under - the- bed trunk and the two way function of the tailgate separates this truck from the others. The electronic and connectivity features on on par with most competitors . The only thing I would change in the cab would be to add buttons to backup the touch screen. The reputation of reliability, longevity and retained resell value of Honda is legendary .
