How much does the 2017 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 9.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,580 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — 4.89/5 is a strong user rating, and owners consistently praise the spacious interior, strong performance, and luxurious features. The overview also points to a roomy, upscale cabin with practical third-row space, so you get a large SUV that works well for family hauling and everyday comfort. Owners also note strong value for money compared with some rivals, though some say certain configurations can feel pricey. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2017 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 4.89/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers feel good about living with over time, especially because they describe it as dependable in daily use and satisfying for long-term ownership. That kind of response suggests you should expect a used example to reward careful maintenance and a thorough pre-purchase check. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been well cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 GMC Yukon?

At 62.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you go any further. After that, prioritize a hands-on inspection that focuses on body condition, panel alignment, interior wear, and signs of uneven repair work. Because this is a large, premium-leaning SUV, you’ll want to pay close attention to how well the cabin, electronics, and overall condition match the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,580 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,720, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $21,935 sits slightly below last year's $24,143.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re thinking about future trade-in value, the current trend points to a vehicle that is holding a reasonable market position rather than appreciating. Strong demand from shoppers who want a roomy, upscale full-size SUV should still support interest, especially for well-kept examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.89/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.89/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a full-size SUV with a roomy cabin, upscale feel, and solid owner approval, especially now that prices have eased. If you’re more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
