Why it stands out
The 2017 GMC Terrain is an appealing choice in the compact SUV market, thanks to its combination of comfort, spaciousness, and attractive styling. Owners frequently highlight the smooth handling and quiet cabin, which add to the overall driving experience. The Terrain benefits from a well-designed interior that offers ample room for passengers, making it particularly family-friendly. However, it's important to note that some drivers have expressed concerns regarding the engine performance, specifically in terms of acceleration, which may not meet the expectations of those seeking a more dynamic driving experience.
The 2017 Terrain, positioned in the competitive compact SUV segment, shares its platform with the Chevrolet Equinox but distinguishes itself with a more rugged appearance, appealing to buyers looking for something both stylish and capable. Additionally, while it boasts an impressive accident-free percentage, potential buyers should be mindful of the engine choices available and opt for the more reliable V6 engine when considering earlier models.

Vehicle has numerous extras. Appointments are well presented. Ride is very comfortable and enjoyable. Denali models have a vast difference over standard models. Add features and sound insulation make for a much smoother and comfortable ride.

The terrain is a great looking suv and a good value. I have only driven it about 200 miles but it is fun to drive with a sporty feel

The ride was much better than I thought it would be. Cabin was very quiet and spacious. The control layouts were simplistic by todays standards but easy to use. The two drawbacks for what I am looking for is a relatively low ground clearance (6.9) and the 2.4L four cylinder is sluggish when accelerating to get up to speed.
