Used 2017 Chrysler 300 for Sale nearSaint Paul, MN

How much does the 2017 Chrysler 300 cost?

Prices have softened 5.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 599 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Chrysler 300 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Chrysler 300 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the comfort, spaciousness, and smooth ride, and they also highlight the car’s luxury feel and overall value. That lines up well with the 300’s full-size-sedan mission: you get a roomy cabin, a relaxed driving experience, and a premium vibe without moving into a luxury-brand price bracket.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 27.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2017 Chrysler 300 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels quality-focused, dependable, and well suited to long drives, with many drivers saying they feel good about the car’s comfort and value over time. The expert evaluation also describes the 300 as a comfortable, well-equipped sedan that can be a cost-effective choice if you’re not overly gas conscious.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the car has been maintained well, especially because higher fuel costs can make a neglected example more expensive to live with.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chrysler 300?

At 54.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage car or one with a lower asking price. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin and electronics still feel consistent with the car’s premium positioning.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Limited gets only the smaller V6 engine, while the higher trims add more power, richer materials, and more upscale equipment. The 300C and 300C Platinum are the most luxury-focused choices, while the 300S leans more toward a sportier feel.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 3.6-liter V6 or a 5.7-liter V8, both paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The V6 is the efficiency-minded choice, while the V8 brings stronger performance but higher fuel use.
• Safety package: The SafetyTec Package adds advanced brake assist, rain-sensing wipers, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, full-speed forward-collision warning with active braking, adaptive cruise control with stop, and ParkSense front and rear park assist. It is not standard on the base Limited.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 8.4 system uses an 8.4-inch color touchscreen and includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An upgraded system adds navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 achieves an EPA-estimated 19 mpg city and 30 highway with rear-wheel drive, or 18/27 with all-wheel drive. V8 models return 16/25.

Which 2017 Chrysler 300 trim should I buy?

The 2017 Chrysler 300 is offered in 4 trim levels: Limited, 300S, 300C, and 300C Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• Limited: This is the entry point, and it still gives you a well-equipped cabin with leather seating, heated front seats, the Uconnect 8.4 system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a strong list of standard comfort features. It’s the trim to choose if you want the lowest starting price and don’t need the extra power or luxury upgrades.
• 300S: This is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it adds a more powerful V6, sport-tuned details, paddle shifters, and available V8 power. It also brings a more aggressive look and a stronger audio setup, so it’s the right choice if you want the 300’s character to feel a little sharper.
• 300C: This trim shifts the focus toward luxury with Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, navigation, and a dual-pane sunroof. Choose it if you want the most upscale everyday experience without going all the way to the top trim.
• 300C Platinum: This is the most lavish version, with platinum exterior accents, upgraded interior trim, luxury Nappa leather, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. It suits you best if you want the most premium-feeling 300 and are willing to pay for it.

The SafetyTec Package is available across the lineup except on the base Limited, so if safety tech matters to you, that’s an important trim-level consideration.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chrysler 300?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 599 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,952, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chrysler 300's resale value?

The current average of $14,030 sits slightly below last year's $14,858.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re thinking about future value, a well-kept example with strong equipment and clean history should be easier to move than one with accident history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2017 Chrysler 300 safe?

The Chrysler 300 earns four-star ratings from NHTSA overall. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety also gave it high marks, with the exception of a Marginal result in the Small Overlap Front test.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes multiple airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, a ParkView reversing camera, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and tire pressure monitors. The available SafetyTec Package adds advanced brake assist, rain-sensing wipers, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, full-speed forward-collision warning with active braking, adaptive cruise control with stop, and ParkSense front and rear park assist.

The main caveat is that the Small Overlap Front result falls short of the top rating, so if crash protection is a top priority, you should pay close attention to trim and equipment selection.

Should I buy a 2017 Chrysler 300 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2017 model adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus updated appearance packages and a faster Uconnect system.

The bottom line: If you want a full-size sedan with a premium feel, strong owner satisfaction, and a softer used-car price than last year, the 2017 is a smart place to focus. If you’re especially price-sensitive, shop carefully for the cleanest, best-maintained example you can find and prioritize the trims that give you the equipment you actually want.
