Is the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also points to a car that feels dependable enough to inspire enthusiasm over time, with owners highlighting the driving experience as the main reason they keep coming back to it. The recurring praise for performance and handling suggests a model many buyers feel confident living with. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s appeal and more about making sure the specific example has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chevrolet Corvette?

At 74.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a sports car where hard use can matter more than mileage alone. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could affect how the car drives and how much you’ll spend after purchase.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $57,883 sits slightly above last year's $54,971.

That kind of price movement suggests the market still sees this Corvette as desirable, which can help support resale strength if you buy well and keep the car in good condition. A model with steady demand and a strong enthusiast following is usually easier to sell later than a less distinctive sports car. If you maintain it carefully and avoid examples with questionable history, you improve your odds of holding value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.30% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $54,646, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $57,883 average.
• It emphasizes dramatic styling and a more modern-feeling interior.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around balance of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and market activity, the 2017 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2016 is the more price-sensitive path and still delivers the core Corvette appeal.
