Used 2017 BMW X5 for Sale nearMiami, FL

How much does the 2017 BMW X5 cost?

Prices have softened 9.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,373 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 BMW X5 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 BMW X5 earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its outstanding performance, luxurious interior, smooth handling, comfortable ride, and practical everyday usefulness. That lines up well with the X5’s role as a midsize, two-row, five-passenger luxury SUV that still emphasizes driving feel, roomy seating, and generous cargo space. With 35.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2017 BMW X5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that can be dependable and trouble-free when it has been maintained properly, even though some drivers mention maintenance issues and equipment concerns. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is not just age, but whether the specific vehicle has been cared for consistently and repaired correctly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 BMW X5?

At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a mechanic who knows luxury SUVs. Focus closely on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether maintenance records support the asking price. If a listing looks especially clean and well-kept, that can matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW X5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,373 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,173, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW X5's resale value?

The current average of $15,173 sits slightly below last year's $16,710.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can limit how much value you recover if you sell soon after buying. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help you reduce depreciation exposure compared with a vehicle that is still priced near its peak. If you keep the X5 in strong condition and maintain it well, you may be better positioned than a seller of a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW X5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 makes sense if you want a well-liked X5 at a softer price point and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth comparing, but the 2017 remains a strong choice when you want a balance of owner satisfaction, market availability, and luxury-SUV appeal.
