How much does the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its blend of luxury, comfort, and sporty performance, and many also value the powerful engine choices and overall driving experience, especially in challenging weather conditions. In practical terms, that lines up well if you want a premium SUV that still feels usable for everyday driving. With 35.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that many owners find dependable, with praise centered on its overall driving experience and confidence in varied conditions. The model’s reputation is helped by the fact that owners often describe it as a vehicle they can count on for comfort and performance over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you avoid examples with expensive suspension or electrical issues that could undermine that otherwise strong ownership experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

At 62.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident or title concerns. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention on suspension behavior, electrical operation, and any signs of uneven wear or repair work. Because this model is a luxury SUV with potentially costly repairs, condition matters more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,263 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.11% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,144, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $18,144 sits slightly below last year's $19,962.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of further depreciation. The strongest resale prospects usually come from well-kept examples with clean history and broad buyer appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a well-liked luxury SUV at a softer price point than it carried a year ago. If your priority is maximizing value, this year makes sense as long as you focus on condition and history. If you want the best chance at the cleanest example, you may want to compare nearby years and choose the one with the strongest combination of price, history, and maintenance records.
