Used 2017 BMW 6 Series for Sale nearHouston, TX

How much does the 2017 BMW 6 Series cost?

Prices have softened 7.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 140 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory for shoppers.

Is the 2017 BMW 6 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2017 BMW 6 Series earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its stylish design, strong performance, comfort, and handling, and they often describe it as a blend of sports car and luxury. That makes it a good fit if you want something distinctive and rewarding rather than purely practical. With 32.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 BMW 6 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the car feels dependable in the ways that matter most to enthusiasts: it is praised for being comfortable, enjoyable to drive, and well balanced between performance and luxury. That said, the 6 Series is described as complex and costly to maintain, so long-term ownership risk is more about repair and upkeep expense than day-to-day driving satisfaction.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 BMW 6 Series?

At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of wear that could point to harder use or incomplete repairs. Because this model is known for being complex and costly to maintain, it is especially important to evaluate overall condition carefully before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW 6 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and focused.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 140 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,928, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW 6 Series's resale value?

The current average of $22,108 sits slightly below last year's $23,958.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale upside may be more limited unless the car is especially clean, well maintained, and attractively equipped. Strong condition matters even more in a niche luxury model like this, where buyers tend to be selective.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW 6 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2017 if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction and softer pricing in this generation. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2017 stands out as the better choice when you want the most current balance of value, desirability, and market availability.
