How much does the 2017 Audi Q5 cost?

Is the 2017 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Audi Q5 earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its fun driving experience, spacious interior, and refined comfort, and many also value its towing capacity and handling. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a luxury midsize SUV that leans toward comfort, practicality, and a premium feel rather than off-road ambition. With 38.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on the Q5’s refined comfort, solid build quality, and the kind of long-term usability that helps owners feel confident in the vehicle. The same feedback also suggests that the blend of luxury and practicality is strong enough to outweigh common concerns for many shoppers.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that maintenance history matters a lot, so a well-kept example is far safer than one with gaps in service records.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Audi Q5?

At 66.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection should get priority, especially for signs of oil consumption, timing-chain concerns, panoramic sunroof issues, and suspension noise. Focus your attention on overall condition and maintenance documentation, because those factors matter more than cosmetic appeal on this model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,577 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,306, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $12,352 sits slightly below last year's $13,481.

That price movement suggests the Q5 has already absorbed some of its recent depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you choose a well-maintained example, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it comes time to sell. Strong condition and documented care should matter more than mileage alone when you think about future value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,489, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $12,352 average.
• It brings a full redesign with more room, better tech, and improved refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2017 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer redesign, the 2018 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize updated tech and a more modern driving experience.
