Is the 2017 Audi Q3 a good car?

Generally — the 2017 Audi Q3 earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to a favorable ownership experience for many shoppers. The overview frames it as a compact luxury SUV that emphasizes everyday comfort and a refined feel, with a smaller, more approachable footprint in Audi’s SUV lineup. It also leans toward comfort over outright performance, so it fits you best if you value an easygoing premium crossover more than sharp handling. There are 35.2% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Audi Q3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the Q3’s appeal comes from its comfort-focused setup, practical convenience features, and premium feel rather than mechanical excitement. That kind of ownership profile can work well if you want a used luxury SUV that feels settled and approachable in daily driving. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying one that has been poorly maintained or worn more heavily than its mileage suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Audi Q3?

At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, paint matching, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past collision work. Because this model is comfort-oriented, you should also focus on interior condition and the operation of convenience features that matter in daily use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 750 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,850, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi Q3's resale value?

The current average of $11,850 sits slightly below last year's $13,296.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q3 easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, condition and documentation will matter more because a softer price trend can compress your margin. A well-kept example with clean history should still be easier to move than one with visible wear or accident history.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $11,129, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $11,850 average.
• It offers a quieter, more stripped-down take on Audi’s smallest SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping pool, the 2017 is the stronger primary choice because it combines a lower current price with decent deal availability and a solid satisfaction rating. If your priority is saving money above all else, the 2016 is the better secondary path, especially if you can live with a simpler feature set.
