At 59% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with past damage. What is the 2017 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $15,927 sits slightly below last year's $16,446.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you purchase near the lower end of the range, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it comes time to sell. Strong demand for well-kept examples should also help support values for cleaner listings.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,362, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $15,927 average.
• It brings a thorough update with upgraded powertrain, safety, and infotainment.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around ownership signal and are comfortable shopping carefully, the 2017 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2016 is the smarter value play, especially if you find a clean example with the right equipment.
