Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly describing it as smooth, comfortable, and robust over time. That kind of praise matters when you’re shopping used, because it suggests the RDX can be a vehicle you count on for regular driving and family duty. What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura RDX?

At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you commit. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the cabin, electronics, and ride quality match the seller’s description.

Strong condition and clean history will matter most when it’s time to resell.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,399, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $15,937 average.
• It brings a thorough update with upgraded powertrain, safety, and infotainment.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall ownership signal and are comfortable shopping carefully, the 2017 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2016 is the smarter value play.
