Is the 2017 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Acura RDX earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2017 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with owners especially appreciating the smooth ride and strong power over time. That said, you should still plan for normal used-car wear and verify maintenance history carefully, since long-term ownership risk always depends on how the previous owner treated the vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Acura RDX?

At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially for bodywork, suspension feel, and any signs of uneven wear. Focus on overall condition and maintenance quality, because those factors matter more when a sizable share of the market has prior damage history.

What is the 2017 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $15,861 sits slightly below last year's $16,298.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to move the vehicle. If you buy well and keep the RDX in strong condition, you can help protect your exit value. Demand should remain supported by the model's comfort, space, and premium appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $14,284, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $15,861 average.
• It received a meaningful update with improved powertrain, safety, and infotainment.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and inventory. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2016 is the better value-oriented alternative, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
