How much does the 2016 Porsche Cayenne cost?

Is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its sports car-like handling, comfortable interior, and the sense that it delivers strong value for its features and towing capacity. The overview also frames it as a good fit if you want a used luxury SUV that blends performance, comfort, and everyday usability. With 34.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights strong build quality and dependability, and the model is described as having a reputation for being dependable and trouble-free over the long term. That said, used buyers should still plan for higher ownership costs, since long-term risk often comes less from outright reliability and more from expensive maintenance and repairs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Porsche Cayenne?

At 65.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on the suspension, electronics, and overall condition of the cabin and exterior. Because this model can be expensive to maintain, you’ll want to focus on service history and evidence of careful ownership as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Cayenne?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 475 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.79% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,838, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $17,838 sits slightly below last year's $19,996.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and documentation rather than broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because shoppers in this segment tend to respond to strong ownership satisfaction and a premium driving experience.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of price, owner satisfaction, and current market availability, the 2016 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years for a lower entry price, but you should still weigh condition and history carefully because the best value will come from a well-documented example.
