Used 2016 Nissan Titan for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2016 Nissan Titan cost?

Prices have softened 8.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 788 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable pool of used Titans to compare.

Is the 2016 Nissan Titan a good car?

With a 3.3/5 user rating, the 2016 Nissan Titan looks like a mixed but appealing choice if you value a full-size truck with a standard V8 and a more upscale feel than many rivals. The Titan’s strengths are its everyday usability, useful equipment, off-road capability, and comfortable interior, while its drawbacks include limited configurability, a rough ride, and plasticky cabin materials.

If you want a truck that feels more distinctive than a basic workhorse and you care about comfort and standard features, it can make sense. The market also shows 30.3% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Nissan Titan reliable?

The 2016 Nissan Titan has a reputation for reliability, which supports its appeal as a used full-size truck. Its combination of a standard V8 and practical equipment makes it a straightforward ownership proposition for shoppers who want capability without a lot of complexity.

For long-term ownership, you should still focus on maintenance history and overall condition, since a used truck’s durability depends heavily on how it was treated before you buy it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Nissan Titan?

At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any Titan you’re seriously considering and confirm whether prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on the frame, suspension, bed, and cabin wear, since those areas can reveal hard use. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records rather than assuming every truck has been used lightly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Nissan Titan?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 788 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 65.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,211, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $20,211 sits slightly below last year's $22,169.

That price movement suggests the Titan has softened enough to help you buy more confidently today, but it also means future resale may remain sensitive to market demand. If you buy well and keep the truck in strong condition, you can help protect your exit value. If you overpay now, the recent downward trend could make it harder to recover that cost later.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.83% compared with last year.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $19,287, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $20,211 average.
• It brings a redesigned Titan with stronger overall credibility.

The bottom line: The 2016 is the better fit if you want the current-year truck with a decent deal pool and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition. If price is your top priority, the 2017 is the better secondary path because it costs less on average and adds a more compelling redesign story.
