What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Nissan NV Cargo?

At 50.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and how the vehicle was used rather than price alone.

That price movement suggests the model has softened, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you plan to resell later, your return will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and document maintenance. A cleaner history and stronger upkeep should help you protect value better than a higher-mileage or poorly maintained example.

Should I buy a 2016 Nissan NV Cargo or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.78% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a year with softer pricing and enough listings to compare carefully. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on the lower end of the market and prioritize the best-documented, cleanest example you can find.
