Why it stands out
The 2016 Nissan Frontier provides a solid option for those in the market for a midsize truck, particularly due to its competitive pricing and the reliability associated with its V6 engine. Despite being based on a platform that's over a decade old, it remains appealing thanks to features like a rear-view camera and Bluetooth. The truck comes with various trim levels, catering to a range of needs from basic workhorse configurations to more luxurious options like the Pro-4X. However, potential buyers should be aware that, although it performs adequately, it falls behind competitors such as the Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Colorado in terms of efficiency and modern features. The Frontier's continuation of traditional truck elements makes it an attractive choice for buyers wanting a straightforward, dependable vehicle without the latest bells and whistles.

This truck is replacing a 2000 Nissan frontier that I drove for over 260,000 miles. The newer model is much roomier and it handles great. I am a fan of Nissan quality.

Its got a powerful V-6 engine, and nice amenities inside the truck. The 2nd row of seats are a nice addition. Backwards camera, and Bluetooth are included in the SV model we looked at. The 5ft bed isnt bad, but limits how much stuff you can haul.

This is a truck. The V6 has plenty of power. The 4wd is capable and inspires confidence. The electrical/electronic items it does have are useful without being over-the-top. You still have to drive this vehicle, which is half the fun. The seats are comfortable though Nissan needs to do something to reinforce the seats on their door sides. I have seen many of them that wear and eventually rip where the driver slides in and out over the back corner of the seat. I feel like I get Japanese quality at an American-made price in this truck.

These trucks are very reliable and dont usually have many problems. When they do have problems it doesnt cost a fortune fix them.
