Used 2016 Lexus IS for Sale nearMesa, AZ

How much does the 2016 Lexus IS cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 689 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Lexus IS a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance, comfort, and stylish design, and many also highlight the luxury feel and reliability. That makes sense if you want a compact luxury sports sedan that feels engaging on the road while still delivering a premium cabin. With 29.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Lexus IS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also emphasizes reliability, with owners specifically praising the car’s dependable character and the confidence it inspires over time. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used luxury sedan you can count on rather than one that feels risky to own. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a car with hidden wear or a rough maintenance history, so condition matters as much as the badge.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Lexus IS?

At 39.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or driven hard. Focus on overall condition, since ride quality, interior wear, and evidence of past repairs can matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lexus IS?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 689 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 39.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,631, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $18,151 sits slightly below last year's $18,222.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to sell later because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp swings. A steady price trend can make it easier to estimate your future trade-in or private-party value. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep demand healthy among used shoppers who want a premium compact sedan with a good reputation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 39.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $17,316, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $18,151 average.
• It emphasizes driving enjoyment and value for the money.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price stability, owner satisfaction, and available inventory. If your top priority is saving money upfront, the 2015 is the better value-focused alternative, especially if you can live with its sportier, less comfort-oriented personality.
