Used 2016 Lexus IS for Sale nearAlexandria, VA

How much does the 2016 Lexus IS cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 664 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Lexus IS a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the performance, comfort, stylish design, and luxury feel, and many also highlight reliability as a major strength. That makes this a good fit if you want a premium compact sedan that feels engaging to drive and still delivers an upscale cabin. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Lexus IS reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback repeatedly points to reliability, dependability, and a car you can count on over time. That matters if you want a used luxury sedan that should feel reassuring rather than risky as the miles add up. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a car with hidden wear or uneven maintenance history, so condition and records matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Lexus IS?

At 38.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus closely on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car drives as tightly as it should. Because this model can attract buyers who value style and performance, a clean, well-kept example is worth waiting for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 664 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 38.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,634, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $18,373 sits slightly below last year's $18,487.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable rather than sharply weakening. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you should have a decent chance of preserving value relative to more volatile used luxury sedans. A clean history and strong maintenance records will matter a lot when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 38.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $17,472, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $18,373 average.
• It emphasizes driving enjoyment and strong value for the money.

The bottom line:
You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the stronger overall market balance of price stability, owner satisfaction, and broad appeal. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2015 is the better value play, especially if you find one in clean condition with the right maintenance history.
