Is the 2016 Lexus GS a good car?

That kind of feedback can be a useful sign that the car is meeting expectations in everyday use, especially if you’re comparing it with other used luxury sedans. With 37.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a solid share of market opportunities to shop from.

Is the 2016 Lexus GS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, that points to lower perceived ownership risk, but you should still verify maintenance history and overall condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Lexus GS?

At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and prioritize cars with clean records when possible. A pre-purchase inspection is especially valuable here, since condition can vary even among similarly priced cars. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, and wear that doesn’t match the mileage or asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Lexus GS?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 244 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,514, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Lexus GS's resale value?

The current average of $20,907 sits slightly below last year's $21,010.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help you estimate future depreciation more confidently. If you buy near the lower end of the current range, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell. Strong pricing discipline today can make your eventual resale position more predictable.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lexus GS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used GS with stable pricing and strong owner feedback, the 2016 is a sensible place to start. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep comparing nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced listings rather than the model year alone.
