Used 2016 Hyundai Veloster for Sale nearSan Antonio, TX

How much does the 2016 Hyundai Veloster cost?

Prices have softened 7.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 322 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Veloster a good car?

Yes — 4.71/5 is a strong user rating, and it lines up with the themes owners mention most often: sporty design, fun driving experience, and good fuel economy. The unique third door also comes up as a practical advantage for rear-seat access, while the hatchback layout adds everyday usefulness. For you, that makes this a good fit if you want a compact car with personality and usable cargo space rather than a conventional commuter. 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Veloster reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to reliable performance and a car that owners feel good about living with over time. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used car you can count on for regular driving without feeling like you’re taking a big gamble. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t been compromised by prior damage or neglect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Hyundai Veloster?

At 50.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified, driven hard, or shows signs of uneven wear. Focus on overall condition, because the best used example is likely to be the one that has been cared for consistently rather than simply the cheapest listing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Veloster?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 322 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 50.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,165, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Veloster's resale value?

The current average of $8,175 sits slightly below last year's $8,817.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. A well-kept example should still be easier to move than a neglected one, especially if it has the kind of owner satisfaction this model year shows.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Veloster or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 50.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a smart choice if you want the Veloster’s distinctive styling, practical hatchback layout, and strong owner approval at a softened price point. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price.
