How much does the 2016 Hyundai Genesis cost?

There are 228 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Hyundai Genesis earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It was positioned as a luxury sedan that delivered upscale features without the usual premium-brand price tag, and it offered a serious attempt at understated luxury in a five-passenger package. Its appeal is strongest if you want a comfortable, feature-rich sedan with a well-equipped feel and a lot of equipment for the money. 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Genesis was built around a new chassis, updated suspension, and a new infotainment system, all of which helped it feel more modern and competitive for its time. It also came with a long list of standard equipment, which can make it feel well cared for when you find a clean example. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s concept and more about how well a specific example has been maintained and preserved.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Hyundai Genesis?

At 46.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your list, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, since a well-kept example is likely to be the better long-term buy than one that simply looks inexpensive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Genesis?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 228 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 46.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,524, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis's resale value?

The current average of $12,896 sits slightly below last year's $13,347.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command top dollar right away. If you plan to sell later, condition and documentation will matter a lot, because well-kept examples tend to stand out more when the market is already price-sensitive. The current pricing also suggests that depreciation has already done some of the heavy lifting, which can help stabilize future value if demand stays steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Genesis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 46.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $12,325, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $12,896 average.
• It feels more polished and purposeful than before.

The bottom line: If you want the newer year with a strong satisfaction signal and a still-reasonable market price, the 2016 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2015 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
