Used 2016 Hyundai Genesis for Sale near North Carolina

How much does the 2016 Hyundai Genesis cost?

Prices have softened 2.13% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 240 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2016 Hyundai Genesis is positioned as a luxury sedan that delivers upscale features without the usual premium-brand price tag, and it was designed to compete more directly with established luxury sedans. You also get a generous equipment list, including navigation, Bluetooth, heated front seats, and available features like a head-up display and a premium audio system, which makes it appealing if you want a well-equipped midsize luxury car. The market shows 33.3% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2016 Hyundai Genesis was built on a revised second-generation platform with a new chassis, updated infotainment, and overhauled suspension, all aimed at making it more competitive and more refined. Its strengths include good tech for its time, a well-powered engine, and a strong feature set, while the tradeoffs are more about image and driving character than obvious shortcomings. For used buyers, that means your long-term ownership risk is more likely to come from condition, maintenance history, and how the car was treated than from the model’s basic appeal.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Hyundai Genesis?

At 49.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent wear, then focus on overall condition because the market includes a sizable number of cars with accident history. A careful pre-purchase inspection can help you separate a clean, well-kept example from one that may carry hidden repair issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Genesis?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 240 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.13% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,509, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis's resale value?

The current average of $13,191 sits slightly below last year's $13,479.

That softer pricing suggests the model has been under some downward pressure, which can matter if you're planning to sell in the future. A lower current average can make your car easier to price competitively, but it can also limit upside if the market stays soft. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you give yourself the best chance of preserving value in a segment where buyers still respond to features and overall presentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Genesis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $12,111, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $13,191 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, capability, and luxury with a more distinctive overall feel.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the current-year market and a strong mix of features and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2015 is the better value-oriented path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
