How much does the 2016 Hyundai Genesis cost?

There are 251 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2016 Hyundai Genesis was positioned as a luxury sedan that delivered upscale features without the usual premium-brand price tag, and it backed that up with generous standard equipment, available tech upgrades, and a well-powered engine. It also aimed to balance comfort and capability while offering a more approachable value proposition than many established luxury rivals. With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Hyundai Genesis was built around a new chassis, updated suspension, and a modernized infotainment setup, all of which were intended to make it feel more refined and competitive. Its strengths centered on comfort, equipment, and a strong feature set, which can be encouraging signs for used buyers looking for a well-rounded luxury sedan. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying a neglected example, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Hyundai Genesis?

At 51.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize an inspection that checks for prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, and signs of poor repairs. Focus closely on overall condition, since a luxury sedan like this can be more rewarding when the equipment, electronics, and interior have been well cared for. If a listing has incomplete records or visible wear, it is worth moving on.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Genesis?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 251 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,524, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Genesis's resale value?

The current average of $13,247 sits slightly below last year's $13,479.

That small decline suggests the market has softened, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit short-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, your best protection is choosing a clean, well-kept example with strong documentation and desirable equipment. A car that presents well and has been maintained carefully should be easier to move when it is your turn to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Genesis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $12,215, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $13,247 average.
• The 2015 emphasizes comfort, composed handling, and strong value.

The bottom line: If you want the newer year with a strong satisfaction signal and a still-reasonable market price, the 2016 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2015 is the more budget-friendly path and still offers a compelling mix of comfort and value.
