Used 2016 GMC Yukon for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2016 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 8.45% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,434 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 4.71/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, strong horsepower, stylish design, smooth ride, and user-friendly features, which fits a full-size SUV aimed at families and buyers who want room plus a more upscale feel. If you want a large SUV with a premium-leaning cabin and everyday comfort, this model year lines up well with that use case. 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centered on comfort, drivability, and the kind of long-term appeal that keeps buyers interested in this SUV. Some shoppers have noted tire-condition concerns in certain listings, so your best protection is to focus on maintenance records and overall wear before you commit. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about finding one that has been cared for consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 GMC Yukon?

At 60.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to tires, body condition, and signs of uneven wear. Because condition varies across the market, the best buys are the ones that combine clean history with strong maintenance records and a careful visual check.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 GMC Yukon?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,434 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.45% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,686, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $19,695 sits slightly below last year's $21,513.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little more competitive if you plan to sell later. If you buy well now, you may benefit from the softer entry price, but future resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Strong presentation and a clean history matter more when the market is already showing some price pressure.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want a roomy, well-equipped full-size SUV and you can verify a clean, well-maintained example. If your priority is stretching your budget, this year’s softer pricing and decent deal availability make it worth a close look. If you want the safest path, focus on the best-documented vehicle rather than simply the cheapest one.
