The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable in everyday use, with praise centered on its smooth ride, strong horsepower, and user-friendly features. That kind of repeat positive feedback matters when you’re evaluating a used SUV for long-term ownership.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been cared for properly, since condition can vary a lot from one listing to another.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 GMC Yukon?

At 60.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident history, title status, and service patterns before you commit. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage or visible wear. Pay close attention to tires, cabin condition, and overall maintenance, since those details can tell you a lot about how the SUV was treated.

If you find a listing below $19,351, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $19,371 sits slightly below last year's $21,109.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help limit how much value you lose if you buy at the right price. If you plan to resell later, a lower entry price gives you a better chance of staying ahead of the curve. Strong demand for roomy, well-equipped full-size SUVs can also help support future interest from used buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
