Why it stands out
The 2016 Chevrolet Traverse distinguishes itself with its generous interior space and versatility, catering to families seeking a roomy three-row SUV without the heft of a traditional large SUV. While it shares the market with midsize competitors such as the Kia Telluride and Honda Pilot, the Traverse offers notably larger dimensions, similar in size to the Chevrolet Tahoe. This allows for an expansive cabin, including one of the most spacious third rows available, making it suitable for larger families or those who frequently travel with extra gear.
Chevy has thoughtfully integrated a user-friendly infotainment system, ensuring that features remain easy to navigate. The Traverse is equipped with powerful engines and delivers a smooth ride thanks to its comfortable suspension system, accommodating a range of driving conditions. While its towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds limits its heavy-duty capability, it remains a competent performer for most family needs.
Despite these strengths, prospective buyers should consider the Traverse's reliability history, which has been mixed in the past, particularly with the first-generation models. However, the 2016 variant and later models have seen improvements. This SUV ultimately offers an appealing combination of practicality and comfort, making it a wise choice for those prioritizing space and family-friendly features.

I do love my Traverse, but there are a few weird things I have noticed since owning it like there is no interior button for the liftgate release nor is there one on the remote. Its odd how they would make a model that has a manual liftgate.
