Is the 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. That kind of feedback suggests you may find a well-liked used sedan if you focus on the right listing. 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive options in the market.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the rating itself and more about how each individual car was maintained and driven over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited?

At 54.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage was cosmetic or structural. Put inspection priority on body panels, alignment, paint consistency, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past repairs. Focus on overall condition and documentation, since the best example will be the one with clean records and clear maintenance history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, where you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 167 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,827, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited's resale value?

The current average of $9,048 sits slightly below last year's $9,484.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays steady. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average gives you more room to preserve value. A clean history and strong condition will matter more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 25.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2016 makes sense if you want a used Impala Limited with solid owner satisfaction and some room to negotiate, especially if you can verify a clean history and find a well-kept example. If you’re more price-sensitive, keep shopping within the same model-year range and compare listings carefully, since the best value will come from the cleanest car at the lowest price rather than from the average market listing.
