Is the 2016 Buick Enclave reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort and everyday usability. Reviewers repeatedly mention the Enclave’s smooth ride and strong overall appeal, which suggests many buyers feel confident living with it over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and still feels solid in daily driving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Buick Enclave?

At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, alignment, and interior condition, since those areas can reveal whether a vehicle has been repaired well or poorly. It also makes sense to focus on how the SUV drives and shifts, because condition and maintenance matter more than mileage alone on a used family hauler like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Buick Enclave?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop thoughtfully and still find worthwhile opportunities if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 797 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,721, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Buick Enclave's resale value?

The current average of $10,753 sits slightly below last year's $11,901.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Enclave more attractive to you as a buyer but less favorable if you're planning to sell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation. Demand should remain supported by the model's comfort-focused reputation and family-friendly layout.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Buick Enclave or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is the better pick if you want a well-liked, comfort-oriented three-row SUV and you can verify the condition of the exact vehicle you’re considering. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the model year alone.
