Used 2016 Audi Q3 for Sale nearTacoma, WA

How much does the 2016 Audi Q3 cost?

Prices have softened 9.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 467 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Audi Q3 earns a 4/5 user rating and a 6/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 8/10.

It is positioned as Audi’s smallest SUV, and the overview describes it as a premium-feeling compact crossover with nimble handling and a quiet interior. That makes it a fit if you want a polished, easygoing small SUV rather than maximum space or feature depth.

The market also shows 33.2% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q3’s appeal is rooted in its solid feel, quiet cabin, and refined driving character, and the expert evaluation also points to a hushed, isolated ride and good brake performance. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is described as responsive and refined, with minimal lag and smooth launch behavior from the automatic transmission.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that the Q3’s modest feature set and premium-badge pricing can make it harder to justify if condition, maintenance history, or equipment level are not strong.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi Q3?

At 64.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, evidence of prior bodywork, and whether the equipment level matches what you expect for the trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base setup is sparse, with the Technology package doing a lot of the heavy lifting for navigation, Audi Connect, blind-spot monitoring, and a color display. Higher trims add more convenience and premium touches, so you should check whether the listing includes the features you want.
• Powertrain: The Q3 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with a 6-speed automatic, and the engine is described as responsive and refined with minimal lag. The all-wheel-drive setup is a strong point if you want confident all-weather traction.
• Safety package: The available Technology package adds blind-spot monitoring, while the safety writeup notes that the Q3 lacks a collision warning system and does not have knee airbags. That makes feature verification especially important if safety tech matters to you.
• Infotainment: Without the Technology package, the cabin is very basic, with a monochrome instrument display. The package adds navigation with traffic overlays, Audi Connect, onboard Wi-Fi, local fuel prices, parking info, weather, and a color display.
• Fuel efficiency: The performance writeup says the Q3 is EPA-rated at 20 mpg city/28 highway, and it also notes a real-world result of 23 mpg.

Which 2016 Audi Q3 trim should I buy?

The 2016 Audi Q3 is offered in 2 trim levels: Premium Plus and Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium Plus: This is the trim to target if you want the core Q3 experience without stretching for extras. It gives you the polished driving feel, standard panoramic moonroof, heated power front seats, xenon headlamps, and push-button start, while leaving room to add the Technology package if you want the most useful tech and safety upgrades.
• Prestige: This is the better pick if you want the most complete Q3 as sold. It includes the Technology package and adds larger 19-inch wheels, LED headlamps, a 14-speaker Bose stereo, and a power tailgate, so it suits you if you want the most convenience and premium equipment in one package.

The safety content notes that the Q3 no longer qualifies for 2016 recognition because it lacks a collision warning system, so make sure you value the available tech package before choosing a trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi Q3?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 467 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,149, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi Q3's resale value?

The current average of $11,190 sits slightly below last year's $12,326.

That decline suggests the Q3 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. For a later seller, the key will be keeping mileage, condition, and service history strong enough to stand out in a market where the model’s premium badge alone does not guarantee demand.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2016 Audi Q3 safe?

The 2016 Audi Q3 is a 2015 Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and scored Good in all five crash tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The available Technology package adds blind-spot monitoring, navigation with traffic overlays, Audi Connect, onboard Wi-Fi, local fuel prices, parking info, weather, and a color display. The safety writeup also notes that the Q3 lacks a collision warning system and does not have knee airbags, so you should not assume every listing has the same safety equipment.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi Q3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2016 model keeps the Q3’s compact, premium-feeling character while sitting below the Q5 and Q7, which creates a meaningful price gap for Audi shoppers.

The bottom line: If you want the Q3’s compact size, quiet cabin, and lower entry price, the 2016 is the right year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, shop carefully for a well-equipped example with clean history and the right tech package, because the model’s value depends heavily on condition and equipment.

How does the 2016 Audi Q3 compare to the 2016 BMW X1?

Our experts score the 2016 Audi Q3 6/10 and the 2016 BMW X1 7/10. The BMW X1 brings more power, better fuel economy, and a slightly stronger expert score, while the Audi Q3 leans into a quieter, more isolated ride and a premium-feeling compact-SUV character. If you want the more compelling all-around used buy, the X1 has the edge; if you prefer Audi’s calmer, more refined personality and lower average price, the Q3 still makes sense.
