Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Prius c or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 11.31% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,319, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,589 average.
• It is a more city-focused, value-oriented entry into the Prius family.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market case, the 2015 is the better starting point because it combines solid demand, decent deal availability, and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is lower upfront cost, the 2014 is the better secondary path, especially if you mainly want an affordable city hybrid.
