How much does the 2015 Toyota Corolla cost?

Prices are up 1.51% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,684 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Corollas to compare.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Toyota Corolla earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

The Corolla is presented as a dependable, sensible compact car that still tries to make everyday driving a little more enjoyable. It is also described as stylish, with a practical mission that still leaves room for a bit of personality. That makes it a fit if you want straightforward commuting value without giving up all sense of character.

The market also shows 30.0% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Corolla is described as reliable, sensible transportation, and the expert commentary reinforces that it is built around dependable daily use. It is also expected to prove cheap to own and to retain a big chunk of its original value over time. The 1.8-liter engine is described as refined and quiet, which supports the impression of a car that is engineered for steady, low-drama ownership.

It also includes free scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles of ownership, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a neglected example could erase much of the Corolla’s usual durability advantage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Corolla?

At 45.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows uneven panel gaps, tire wear, or paint mismatch. Focus on overall condition rather than just mileage, since a clean, well-maintained Corolla is more likely to deliver the low-stress ownership experience you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: All versions include LED headlights, air conditioning, power windows, locks and mirrors, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and Bluetooth connectivity with a USB 2.0 port. The LE adds a CVT, larger 16-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, remote keyless entry and a 6-speaker sound system with a 6-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth audio streaming and a reversing camera. The S adds unique hubcaps, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a rear spoiler, sportier front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a Sport driving mode and revised dashboard trim.
• Powertrain: A 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine powers all versions, and in all but the LE Eco trim it makes 132 hp. The engine is refined and quiet, and the Corolla’s light weight helps it feel adequately powered after an initial lack of thrust.
• Safety package: A reversing camera is included for the LE trim level and above. Toyota does not offer blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, active cruise control with forward-collision warning or automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen is 6 inches, and Toyota’s Entune App Suite requires the LE with the Plus Package. Bluetooth connectivity is standard, and the system includes actual volume and tuning knobs.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 28 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway for the Corolla S test car.

Which 2015 Toyota Corolla trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Corolla is offered in 4 trim levels: L, LE, LE Eco and S.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the simplest choice if you want the lowest-frills Corolla experience, but it still includes the core convenience and connectivity features that define the model.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the CVT, more comfort features, a better audio setup, a touchscreen and a reversing camera.
• LE Eco: Choose this if you want the Corolla’s efficiency focus pushed further, along with the extra horsepower and the more aerodynamic setup.
• S: Pick this if you want the sportiest appearance and the most driver-focused feel, including the paddle shifters, Sport mode and upgraded suspension and brakes with the S Plus Package.

The reversing camera is included on the LE trim level and above, so base-trim shoppers should factor that safety gap into their decision.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Corolla?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,684 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.51% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 45.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,383, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Corolla's resale value?

The current average of $11,825 sits slightly above last year's $11,648.

That modest increase suggests the Corolla has held value reasonably well, which is consistent with its reputation for low ownership costs and dependable daily use. Because the price trend is positive, a well-kept example should remain easier to move than a neglected one. Strong value retention also tends to favor trims and listings with cleaner histories and better equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Corolla safe?

The 2015 Corolla earns five-star ratings from NHTSA. It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota’s safety equipment is limited by modern standards. There is no blind-spot monitoring system, no lane-departure warning system, no rear cross-traffic alert system, no active cruise control with forward-collision warning and no automatic braking function. A reversing camera is about as sophisticated as it gets, and that’s included for the LE trim level and above.

The expert safety commentary also notes that the 2015 Corolla had not been officially rated by IIHS at the time, though the essentially identical 2014 Corolla received a Good rating in all assessments except the small overlap frontal-impact test, where it rated Marginal. That caveat is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Corolla or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.51% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• As ever, the latest version of the Toyota Corolla represents reliable and sensible transportation.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,099, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $11,825 average.
• It emphasizes efficient, dependable daily driving over flash.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $12,855, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $11,825 average.
• It adds a stronger emphasis on fuel economy and cost-effectiveness.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the right pick if you want a balanced Corolla with strong value, solid ownership appeal and a broad used-car market. If you are price-sensitive, the 2014 is the cheaper path; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling value proposition, the 2016 is worth a look.

How does the 2015 Toyota Corolla compare to the 2015 Honda Civic?

Our experts score the 2015 Toyota Corolla 6.2/10 and the 2015 Honda Civic 8.7/10.

The Corolla leans harder into cost effectiveness, while the Civic comes across as the more rewarding overall package. The Corolla’s strengths are affordability, reliability and straightforward usefulness, but it gives up some of the driving enjoyment and polish that help the Civic score higher. If you want the cheaper, more practical choice, the Corolla makes sense; if you want the stronger all-around compact car, the Civic is the better bet.
