You should start with a history report and confirm the car’s accident record, service history, and any battery or drivetrain-related repairs. That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help future sellers because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp depreciation swings. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you’re more likely to preserve value than if you overpay at the start. Demand should remain supported by the Model S’s tech appeal and EV performance reputation.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Model S that still feels forward-looking, the 2015 is a strong primary choice because it balances tech, range, and performance with a market that is still reasonably active. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-documented, best-priced example rather than chasing a specific badge year.
