CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Lincoln MKC
overall

Summary
With 252 currently listed for sale and an average price of $9,870, 27.8% of 2015 Lincoln MKC listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Lincoln MKC 4.71 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.17 / 10.
56.7% of 2015 Lincoln MKC listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Lincoln MKC stands out as Lincoln’s new entry-level luxury crossover, and its appeal starts with the way it tries to make the brand feel more focused. It is positioned as a compact luxury SUV that aims to catch attention with a premium look and a strong feature set rather than simply blending into the crowd.
One of its most distinctive traits is the engine choice described in the test-drive data: a turbocharged 4-cylinder with nearly 300 horsepower and torque to match. That gives the MKC a more performance-oriented personality than many buyers might expect from an entry-level luxury crossover. The same source also points to sexy interior materials, an optional adaptive suspension, and a panoramic sunroof, all of which help give it a more upscale feel. Owners echo that impression, often praising the smooth ride, comfort, and luxurious features, along with the value it offers.
The MKC is not without compromises, though. Some drivers wish it had more legroom and cargo space, suggesting that its cabin can feel a bit cramped, especially for passengers. Even so, for buyers who want a stylish, comfortable luxury crossover with a strong engine and a premium presentation, the 2015 Lincoln MKC has a lot to offer.

Initial impression was great. Comfortable to drive and has a luxurious feel to it. Pictures made it seem much larger than it was though, along with some other reviews from 3rd parties noting it was comparable to a Ford escape. The inside felt more like a compact hatchback. Comfy for the driver and front passenger if the chairs are all the way back but you wouldnt be able to fit any additional passengers comfortably and the trunk has very little space.

How much does the 2015 Lincoln MKC cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $9,876 |
| Year-Round Low | $9,728 |
| Year-Round High | $11,023 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $10,971 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −9.98% |
Prices have softened 9.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 250 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2015 Lincoln MKC a good car?
Yes — the 4.71/5 user rating and 7.17/10 expert rating both point to a well-liked used luxury crossover. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.
Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, comfort, luxurious features, and strong value for the price. That lines up with the MKC’s use case as a compact luxury SUV that aims to feel premium and well equipped rather than purely practical. The market also shows 28.8% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.
Is the 2015 Lincoln MKC reliable?
Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for the MKC’s comfort, value, and practical options.
The expert drive notes reinforce that impression by describing the MKC as a crossover that can handle commuting and highway duty without feeling sloppy. The cost-effectiveness commentary also suggests the model can make sense if you keep expectations realistic about options and pricing.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is not outright durability so much as choosing a well-kept example with the right equipment and condition.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Lincoln MKC?
At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and interior condition. Because some listings have accident histories, it’s worth focusing on how well the vehicle was repaired and whether any warning lights, uneven panel gaps, or wear patterns suggest deeper issues. You should also pay close attention to comfort-related items, since owners mention that cabin space can feel tight for passengers.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Reserve Equipment Group adds dual power-folding heated mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, blind-spot and cross-traffic alerts, navigation with voice recognition, heated and cooled front seats, and a hands-free liftgate. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise with forward sensors and lane-keeping assist. The Climate Package adds automatic high-beam control, automatic wipers, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. Which 2015 Lincoln MKC trim should I buy?
The 2015 Lincoln MKC is offered in 1 trim level: MKC.
Here's the short version:
The MKC is best approached as a feature-driven luxury crossover, so your decision comes down less to trim shopping and more to finding the right equipment package and condition. The Reserve Equipment Group is the standout value if you want the most upscale feel, since it adds major comfort and convenience upgrades along with the panoramic sunroof and extra safety tech. If you want the strongest balance of price and features, look for a well-kept example with the options you care about most rather than chasing a heavily loaded one.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Lincoln MKC?
This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to make a good purchase possible.
- Deal availability: 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 250 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.98% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 56.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $9,728, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Lincoln MKC's resale value?
The current average of $9,876 sits slightly below last year's $10,971.
That decline suggests the MKC has become more affordable for buyers, which can make it harder for sellers to command top dollar unless the vehicle is especially clean and well equipped. If you plan to sell later, condition and option content will matter a lot, because shoppers in this segment tend to compare value closely against newer alternatives. A lower entry price today can help demand, but it also means you should expect resale to depend heavily on how well the vehicle has been maintained.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Lincoln MKC safe?
The 2015 Lincoln MKC earns a Good rating from IIHS and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star frontal and five-star side-impact ratings.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard safety equipment includes stability and traction control, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, a rear-view camera, and a full set of airbags including driver’s knee and full-length side curtains. Available driver-assistance features include blind-spot monitoring, frontal-collision prevention with pre-brake, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alerts.
One caveat is that the left-side passenger door opened during the side-impact test, which is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.
Should I buy a 2015 Lincoln MKC or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 28.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.98% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2015 stands out for its turbocharged 4-cylinder with nearly 300 horsepower, plus upscale touches like sexy interior materials, an optional adaptive suspension, and a panoramic sunroof.
The bottom line: The 2015 Lincoln MKC makes the most sense if you want a stylish, well-liked luxury crossover and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and equipment. If you’re price-sensitive, the current market gives you room to wait for a cleaner listing or a better deal, but the best examples are still worth moving on quickly when they appear.
