Used 2015 Kia Forte for Sale nearRaleigh, NC

How much does the 2015 Kia Forte cost?

Prices have softened 9.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 384 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Kia Forte earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

It stands out as a small, affordable car with attractive styling and a low starting price, and it can be equipped with a wide range of features if you move up the trim ladder. That makes it a strong fit if you want value without giving up style or available equipment.

The market also shows 27.1% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Forte’s cost-effectiveness story is helped by an industry-leading warranty, strong roadside assistance, and low expected ownership costs. The expert review also points to average long-term dependability expectations, while noting that the latest version is not carrying obvious cost-effectiveness red flags.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s overall dependability outlook is only average, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Kia Forte?

At 47.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in a prior collision. Focus on bodywork quality, panel alignment, and any signs that crash repairs were not completed cleanly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LX is the more basic version, with cheap-looking 15-inch wheels and fewer amenities, while the EX adds a peppier engine, automatic transmission, Flex Steer, aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, fog lights, LED running lights, and power-folding mirrors. The EX is the better value if you want the richer equipment mix.
• Powertrain: The EX uses a more powerful 173-hp, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The review also notes that the car can feel soft and stiff at the same time on rough roads.
• Safety package: Kia’s UVO eServices system is the main named suite, and it includes a reversing camera plus services such as 911 Connect, Parking Minder, Find My Car, Curfew Limit, Speed Alert, and Geo Fence. Blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are not included.
• Infotainment: UVO eServices can be paired with Bluetooth, Pandora access, voice commands, navigation, and a reversing camera. The system is also tied to smartphone-based convenience features.
• Fuel efficiency: The EX is rated at 25 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, and the review notes an observed average of 28.1 mpg during testing.

Which 2015 Kia Forte trim should I buy?

The 2015 Kia Forte is offered in 2 trim levels: LX and EX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the basics plus Bluetooth, a USB port, satellite radio, and a decent equipment list for the money. It makes sense if your priority is keeping the purchase price down.
• EX: This is the best-value trim because it adds the stronger engine, standard automatic transmission, Flex Steer, aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, fog lights, LED running lights, and power-folding mirrors. If you want the Forte to feel more complete, this is the trim to target.

Kia’s UVO eServices system and rear-view camera are optional on the EX, and the Technology Package adds even more convenience and safety-oriented tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Kia Forte?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 384 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 47.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,093, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $7,124 sits slightly below last year's $7,854.

That decline suggests the Forte has softened in the used market, which can be good news if you're buying now but less favorable if you're planning to sell soon. A lower current price can also make it easier to attract budget-conscious shoppers later, especially if your car is clean and well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte safe?

The 2015 Kia Forte earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, and in other IIHS tests the Forte earns top marks.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia’s named safety-related suite here is UVO eServices, and it includes a reversing camera along with 911 Connect, Parking Minder, Find My Car, Curfew Limit, Speed Alert, and Geo Fence. The key caveat is the small overlap frontal-impact result, which improves only to Marginal and remains a notable weakness.

Should I buy a 2015 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 47.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert review highlights attractive styling, a low starting price, and a wide range of available equipment.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $6,437, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $7,124 average.
• It is described as a more complete and competitive small car with style, space, efficiency, and in-car tech.

The bottom line: Choose the 2015 if you want the stronger market data and the more current version of the Forte’s feature set. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2014 is the better value-oriented alternative.

How does the 2015 Kia Forte compare to the 2015 Hyundai Elantra?

Our experts score the 2015 Kia Forte 7.2/10 and the 2015 Hyundai Elantra 8.5/10.

The Forte is the more affordable used buy, with a lower average price and a slightly stronger good-and-great deal share. The Elantra counters with a higher expert score, more listings, and a better accident-free share, so it looks like the stronger all-around shopper’s choice.
