How much does the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 9.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,989 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a 4.71/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, luxurious features, smooth ride, comfortable interior, powerful performance, and advanced sound systems. That lines up with the overview: you’re looking at a capable and comfortable SUV with a wide range of trims and engines, so you can tailor it to your needs rather than settle for a one-size-fits-all setup.

The market also reflects that appeal, with 32.0% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its comfortable ride, strong performance, and overall satisfaction. The expert driving notes also emphasize that it feels well-mannered and responsive, including in harsh conditions, which supports the sense that it’s a vehicle you can count on.

The ownership picture is not spotless, though: some drivers report electrical problems and non-warranty repairs, so used buyers should pay close attention to maintenance history and any warning lights or electrical quirks before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

At 58.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with multiple owners. Focus on condition, repair records, and whether the vehicle’s equipment works as intended, since some owners have reported quality concerns. If you’re shopping a trim with more features, make sure those systems operate properly before you buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Laredo is light on features, while higher trims add much more comfort and convenience equipment. The Altitude brings standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8.4-inch Uconnect screen, and a power liftgate, while the Limited pushes the Grand Cherokee further toward luxury with features like ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and upgraded audio.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, or the SRT 6.4-liter Hemi V8. The EcoDiesel stands out for strong torque and impressive efficiency, while the V8s are the better fit if you want more power and towing strength.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a 3-point center rear seatbelt, active head restraints, advanced multistage front airbags, driver inflatable knee-bolster airbags, supplemental side curtain and front seat-mounted airbags, electronic stability control, 4-wheel traction control, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and trailer sway control. Higher trims add features such as a rear back-up camera, front and rear park assist, blind-spot and cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision warning.
• Infotainment: The base system uses a 5-inch touchscreen with AM/FM/Bluetooth and voice command with Bluetooth. Higher trims can get an 8.4-inch screen with SiriusXM, HD Radio, and navigation, plus available subscriptions and upgraded audio systems.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.0-liter V6 is rated at 17 mpg city/24 highway in 4WD form, and the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 is rated at 21/28 with 4WD. The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 returns 14/20 with 4WD, while the SRT 6.4-liter Hemi V8 is rated at 13/19.

Which 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee trim should I buy?

The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee is offered in 8 trim levels: Laredo, Laredo E, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, SRT, and SRT Red Vapor.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point, but it’s very basic on features, so it makes sense mainly if you want the lowest starting price and plan to keep expectations modest.
• Laredo E: This is the best-value starting point if you want access to meaningful options, since it opens the door to useful comfort, appearance, and capability packages without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Altitude: This trim is a stronger everyday pick because it adds standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8.4-inch Uconnect screen, and a power liftgate.
• Limited: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers, since it adds the rear back-up camera, Quadra-Trac II 4WD, Selec-Terrain, and access to a much richer luxury package.
• Overland: Choose this if you want more comfort and a more advanced off-road setup, including the Off-Road Adventure II package and standard heated front and rear seats.
• Summit: This is the fully loaded comfort choice, with the broadest mix of luxury and capability features and only engine choice left to decide.
• SRT: Pick this if you want the performance-oriented version with the SRT 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a much more aggressive character.
• SRT Red Vapor: This is the most exclusive performance trim, with unique interior trim and the same SRT engine focus.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but the rear back-up camera is limited to only a few trims, so that feature is worth prioritizing if you want it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,989 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,696, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $11,710 sits slightly below last year's $12,931.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer pricing environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now, you’re entering at a lower baseline, which can help limit depreciation exposure compared with last year’s pricing. Strong demand for well-equipped examples should still support values for cleaner, better-maintained vehicles.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee safe?

The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in frontal crash, side crash, and crash avoidance, and a four-star rating in rollover. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it a Marginal result in Small Overlap Front and Good ratings in the other categories.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes a 3-point center rear seatbelt, active head restraints, advanced multistage front airbags, driver inflatable knee-bolster airbags, supplemental side curtain and front seat-mounted airbags, electronic stability control, 4-wheel traction control, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and trailer sway control. Higher trims add a rear back-up camera, front and rear park assist, hill-descent control, blind-spot and cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, and electronic rear limited-slip differential.

One important caveat is that the rear back-up camera is not widely standard, so you may need to move up the trim ladder to get it.

Should I buy a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a broad trim and engine spread that lets you match capability, comfort, and budget.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,751, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $11,710 average.
• It emphasizes improved daily drivability while preserving strong off-road ability.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,149, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $11,710 average.
• It appeals to buyers who want towing, off-pavement ability, and Jeep styling.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the right pick if you want the broadest mix of trims, engines, and features at a still-reasonable price. If you’re focused on saving money, the 2014 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-year alternative, the 2016 is the natural next step.
