Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10. The 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE is positioned as Jaguar’s first true sports coupe in four decades, with a coupe body and a focused performance image that makes it feel like a spiritual successor to the E-Type. The expert assessment says it “keeps getting better” and has “done nearly everything right,” which fits a car that gets the core sports-car formula right while still leaving a few small issues to sort out. 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE is described as a car that “keeps getting better” and has “done nearly everything right,” which points to a well-sorted sports car rather than a rough early effort. Its performance character is strong, with quick responses and a chassis that feels composed in normal driving, while the automatic transmission is described as quick, smooth, and intuitive. The cost-effectiveness commentary also suggests that, while this is not a bargain car to own, it delivers a lot of what you pay for. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a high-performance sports car can be expensive to keep right if prior owners skipped maintenance or drove it hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE?

At 69.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on bodywork quality, brake condition, and signs of hard use. Because this is a low-slung, high-performance coupe, you should also pay close attention to how the car drives at low speeds and under braking, since those are the areas where wear and repair costs can show up first.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base F-TYPE already brings 340 hp from a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, while the S adds more power and the R steps up to a 550 hp V8. The base car is still well endowed, but the higher trims add more urgency and equipment, so you should compare them carefully if you want the best balance of value and performance.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, a higher-output S version, and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 in the R. The automatic transmission is praised as quick, smooth, and intuitive, and the car offers Dynamic, Normal, and Snow drive settings.
• Safety package: The car comes with dual front and side airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, a limited-slip differential, high-performance brakes with emergency brake assist, traction control, and dynamic stability control. Optional equipment includes adaptive front lights, front sensors, a rear camera, and a blind-spot monitor.
• Infotainment: The cabin includes a touchscreen, and the available InControl Apps feature pairs with your smartphone. The Meridian stereo is available, and the tech package can also include blind-spot monitoring and a rear parking camera.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates show 19 mpg city/27 highway/22 combined.

Which 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE trim should I buy?

The 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE is offered in 3 trim levels: F-TYPE, F-TYPE S, F-TYPE R.

Here's the short version:

• F-TYPE: This is the entry point, but it is far from stripped down, with 340 hp from the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 and the same core sports-car character as the pricier versions. It is the best-value choice if you want the F-TYPE experience without chasing the highest output.
• F-TYPE S: This is the sweet spot if you want more performance and a richer equipment mix, since it adds power over the base car and can be paired with all-wheel drive. It is the trim most likely to make sense if you want the strongest blend of speed, features, and everyday usability.
• F-TYPE R: This is the full-throttle choice, with the supercharged V8 and 550 hp for buyers who want the most dramatic version of the car. Choose it if outright performance matters more than value.

The safety content notes that features such as adaptive front lights, front sensors, a rear camera, and a blind-spot monitor are optional rather than standard.

Is the 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE safe?

The car comes with dual front and side airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, a limited-slip differential, high-performance brakes with emergency brake assist, traction and dynamic stability control, and optional adaptive front lights, front sensors, a rear camera, and a blind-spot monitor. Should I buy a 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The coupe version debuts this year, giving you Jaguar’s first true sports coupe in four decades.

Consider the 2016 if:

• It keeps the same sports-car focus while emphasizing style, performance, and a more clearly defined two-seat, no-nonsense identity.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive early coupe-year F-TYPE and you find a clean, well-kept example, the 2015 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, keep shopping the market and focus on condition first, because the right car matters more than the model-year difference here.
