overall

Summary
With 419 currently listed for sale and an average price of $13,217, 27.0% of 2015 INFINITI Q50s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 INFINITI Q50 4.63 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.33 / 10.
46.1% of 2015 Q50 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 INFINITI Q50 stands out for its wide range of personalities. Depending on how it is set up, it can be a comfortable and quick all-weather performer, a modern and advanced technological tour de force, a fuel-efficient luxury car, or a fast and furious sports sedan. That flexibility, along with its appealing design, gives it a broader appeal than its sales success might suggest.
Its most distinctive trait is Direct Adaptive Steering, which made the car feel artificial enough to be compared to a video game. That unusual steering setup is part of what makes the Q50 memorable, even if it is not universally flattering. Buyers drawn to the 2015 INFINITI Q50 are likely to appreciate its luxury, performance, and features, but they should also be aware that some owners have mentioned limited trunk space, a laggy touch screen, and a bit of road noise.

The car is a great car and has wonderful features. Lets start with the good. It has plenty of power, it rides real smooth, the sound system is good and it seems to be a reliable vehicle. The cons. Trunk space is very limited, the touch screen system seems a bit laggy. Other than that I have not had any other issues with the vehicle.

| Change vs. Last Year | −1.49% |

Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 a good car?
Yes — the 2015 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.63/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.
Owners consistently praise its luxury, performance, and features, and they also highlight its powerful engine, smooth handling, and stylish design. That lines up with the Q50’s broad appeal: you can shop it as a comfortable all-weather performer, a tech-forward luxury sedan, or a sportier driver’s car depending on how it’s equipped.
With 26.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to find a strong-value example if you compare condition and equipment carefully.
Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.63/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its performance, luxury, and features. The expert evaluation also says the Q50 is likely to be just as durable and dependable as the G37 and G35 before it, which is reassuring for used buyers who want a sedan they can count on over time.
The main ownership risk is that technology-heavy examples can bring more complexity, so you should pay close attention to how the car’s systems operate before you buy.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?
At 46.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle-history report and then focus your inspection on bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. It also makes sense to test every major feature in person, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on its technology and equipment. If you’re comparing multiple listings, prioritize condition and completeness of equipment over mileage alone.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base model is positioned as the entry point, while the Premium trim adds the equipment buyers often expect in a luxury sedan. The source also notes that leather seats are not standard on the Premium trim, so you should verify the exact equipment on any car you’re considering.
- Powertrain: A 3.7-liter V6 delivers 328 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The car also offers driving modes including Eco, Sport, Snow/Ice, and Personal.
- Safety package: The Technology Package adds Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention. The source also notes that you must first get the Deluxe Touring Package to get the Technology Package, which means you have to get Direct Adaptive Steering.
- Infotainment: The car uses Infiniti InTouch, InTouch Apps, and InTuition, with a lower touchscreen and an upper navigation screen. The upper screen is touch-sensitive, and the system is controlled with a center-console knob.
- Fuel efficiency: The expert test drive returned 19.2 mpg, compared with an official 23-mpg combined estimate.
Which 2015 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?
The 2015 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 4 trim levels: Q50 3.7, Q50 Hybrid, Premium, and sport-tuned S trim.
Here's the short version:
- Q50 3.7: This is the starting point, and it makes sense if you want the Q50’s core luxury-sport character without chasing extra equipment. It’s the trim to consider if you’re shopping on price and mainly want the V6-powered driving experience.
- Q50 Hybrid: This is the efficiency-focused choice, and the source says it is both more powerful and more fuel-efficient than a standard Q50 3.7. It suits you if you want the Q50 formula with a stronger emphasis on fuel economy.
- Premium: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because the source specifically points to it as the trim worth stepping up to for added equipment. If you want a more complete luxury experience without going all the way to the sportier versions, this is the one to target.
- sport-tuned S trim: This is the choice if you want the sharper look and more aggressive setup. The source ties it to more aggressive front styling, upgraded brakes, and a sport-tuned suspension, so it’s the trim for buyers who care most about driving feel.
For safety-related equipment, the Technology Package sits above the trim structure and requires the Deluxe Touring Package first.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 INFINITI Q50?
This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 436 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 1.49% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 46.1% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $12,257, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 INFINITI Q50's resale value?
The current average of $13,093 sits slightly below last year's $13,290.
That tells you the market has softened a bit, which can work against you if you’re selling in the near term. If you own one now, pricing pressure suggests you may need to be realistic about your asking price, especially if your car lacks desirable equipment or has visible wear.
On the other hand, the Q50’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand for clean, well-kept examples. Cars with the right trim and features should hold buyer interest better than stripped or heavily worn listings.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.63/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 INFINITI Q50 safe?
The 2015 INFINITI Q50 gets decent crash-test ratings, though there is room for improvement. The source notes a three-star rating for the front passenger in a frontal-impact collision, and it also says the car’s Acceptable IIHS small-overlap frontal result would not qualify for a Top Safety Pick rating starting in 2016.
It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.
The Technology Package adds Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, and Blind Spot Intervention, and Infiniti says these systems can warn you or take evasive action if needed. You should also note that the Technology Package requires the Deluxe Touring Package first, which means Direct Adaptive Steering comes along with it.
Should I buy a 2015 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 46.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 1.49% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.63/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- Depending on how you set it up, it can be a comfortable and quick all-weather performer or a fast and furious sports sedan.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $11,443, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,093 average.
- It brings Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and technology directions together in one aggressive luxury sedan.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $13,256, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,093 average.
- It feels more like a legitimate luxury sports sedan.
The bottom line: The 2015 is a smart pick if you want the Q50’s mix of style, performance, and technology at a softened market price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2014 is the value play; if you want a more refined follow-up, the 2016 is worth a look.
