How much does the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 10.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 172 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Technology.

The Santa Fe is positioned as a crossover that balances everyday practicality with a more engaging driving character, and it is described as not too big and not too small. That makes it appealing if you want a useful SUV that still feels lively behind the wheel. The turbocharged engine adds strong get-up-and-go, while the cabin and exterior styling are presented as attractive overall, even if the interior design could use a refresh.

Good and great deals account for 27.3% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Santa Fe is described as a value-oriented crossover with strong warranty and roadside assistance support, and its ownership costs are expected to be relatively low. At the same time, the turbocharged engine is thirsty, and the model’s overall dependability is described as average rather than standout. The performance notes also point to a strong engine with useful passing power and improved ride quality for 2015, which supports the case for a well-kept example.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that a neglected turbocharged example could be more expensive to live with than the rating alone suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe?

At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body repairs, alignment, and any signs of inconsistent panel fit or paintwork. Because the model’s safety equipment varies by trim, it also makes sense to confirm exactly which driver-assistance features are present on the specific listing you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The standard trims are relatively stripped compared with the more expensive turbocharged versions, and the least expensive base trim does not get a reversing camera. Higher trims add more equipment, so you should compare feature content carefully before deciding.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is rated at 265 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, and it delivers strong acceleration and passing power. Front-wheel-drive models are estimated at 19 mpg city/26 highway/22 combined.
• Safety package: Blue Link includes automatic collision notification, an SOS emergency assistance button, and enhanced roadside assistance. A reversing camera is standard on all versions except the least expensive base trim, while blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change assist are optional on base trims and standard on 2.0T trims.
• Infotainment: Blue Link telematics and services are available, with remote vehicle access, alarm notification, stolen-vehicle slowdown and recovery, and smartphone-based car finding through the Remote Package. A Guidance Package adds voice-activated Google destination search and turn-by-turn directions.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive model is estimated at 19 mpg city/26 highway/22 combined, and the turbocharged engine is described as thirsty.

Which 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 2 trim levels: Santa Fe Sport and Santa Fe Sport 2.0T.

Here's the short version:

• Santa Fe Sport: This is the better starting point if you want the Santa Fe’s core practicality and are willing to add options selectively. It can be equipped with useful tech and safety features, but the base trim is missing some equipment that higher trims get.
• Santa Fe Sport 2.0T: This is the best-value choice if you want the strongest performance and the most complete feature set. It gets standard blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and the reversing camera, making it the trim to target if you want the most capability without piecing together options.

The safety-package note is simple: the least expensive base trim misses the reversing camera, while the 2.0T trims get the key driver-assistance features standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 172 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,599, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $9,599 sits slightly below last year's $10,761.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means condition and equipment will matter even more when it comes time to list the vehicle. A clean history and strong maintenance record should help you stand out in a market where shoppers have plenty of comparable options.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe earns a Marginal rating in the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact test, which keeps it from earning a Top Safety Pick rating.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The Santa Fe can be equipped with a reversing camera, and all versions except the least expensive base trim have one. Hyundai also offers blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-change assist technology, with those features optional on base trims and standard on 2.0T trims. The main caveat is the poor small-overlap result, so safety-conscious used buyers should pay close attention to trim level and available driver-assistance equipment.

Should I buy a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings improved steering and suspension tuning, plus a more enjoyable driving character.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $9,421, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $9,599 average.
• It is described as a genuinely usable three-row people mover with room for six sizable people.

The bottom line: If you want the more engaging and better-priced version of this crossover, the 2015 is the stronger pick. If your priority is spending a bit less and you want the earlier model’s three-row practicality, the 2014 is the value-oriented alternative.
