At 49.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or a long option list. The 2015 Hyundai Genesis is offered in 3 trim levels: 3.8, 3.8 AWD, 5.0.

Here's the short version:

• 3.8: This is the entry point, but it still gives you a strong luxury baseline with leather seating, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and the core upscale cabin features that make the Genesis appealing. It is the best-value choice if you want the Genesis experience without paying for the V8.
• 3.8 AWD: Choose this if you want the V6’s balance of efficiency and comfort with added all-weather traction, plus heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and headlight washers. It is the better pick if you live where winter driving matters.

The Tech Package adds lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, smart cruise control, a haptic-response steering wheel alert, and front and rear parking assistance systems.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 261 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 49.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,035, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Hyundai Genesis's resale value?

The current average of $12,174 sits slightly below last year's $12,763.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price and keep the car in excellent condition, you can reduce the impact of that softer market. Well-equipped luxury sedans can still hold interest when they offer a lot of features for the money, but the current trend means future sellers should expect competition from similarly priced alternatives.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Hyundai Genesis safe?

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes a rear-view camera, vehicle stability control, a host of front and side airbags, front and rear crumple zones, an energy-absorbing steering column, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Tech Package adds lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, smart cruise control, a haptic-response steering wheel alert, and front and rear parking assistance systems.

Should I buy a 2015 Hyundai Genesis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 49.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 model year brings a new chassis, overhauled suspension, and a more distinctive luxury-car identity.

The bottom line: If you want the most polished version of this generation’s formula, the 2015 is the year to focus on because it combines the updated chassis, strong value, and broad appeal in one package. If your priority is simply the lowest purchase price, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2015 stands out for feeling more complete and more modern than the earlier version.
