Is the 2015 Honda Fit a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda Fit earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its spacious interior, excellent gas mileage, and impressive cargo space. The overview also points to a car that feels practical and value-oriented while still being fun to drive, which helps explain why it appeals as an economical small car with personality.

With its roomy packaging and strong everyday usability, it fits especially well if you want a subcompact that can do more than just basic commuting. 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some market flexibility if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Honda Fit reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user summary points to a practical, value-oriented car, and the expert cost-effectiveness notes say Honda’s reputation for reliability is strong enough that outside evaluators expect it to be nearly bulletproof. That same section also highlights the Fit’s low ownership costs and strong value retention, which reinforce the dependability case.

The expert performance notes also describe the Fit as forgiving and easy to live with, while the cost-effectiveness content adds three years and 36,000 miles of free roadside assistance coverage for the model year. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the car’s basic durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Fit?

At 53.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had bodywork or shows uneven panel gaps, tire wear, or interior wear that suggests heavier use. Focus on how the car drives, how the cabin feels over rough pavement, and whether all convenience and safety features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX adds a 7-inch touchscreen and HondaLink-based connectivity, while the EX-L adds more luxury-oriented equipment such as leather seats, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, keyless passive entry with push-button start, a power sunroof, and a hard-drive navigation system with HD Radio and satellite radio.
• Powertrain: The 1.5-liter four-cylinder is described as spirited rather than fast, and the manual transmission is the more engaging setup; the car is also noted for strong fuel economy, with official estimates of 29 mpg city and 37 highway.
• Safety package: LaneWatch comes standard on the EX test car, and the Fit also includes a rear-view camera with a 180-degree view; models with HondaLink add automatic collision notification. The safety discussion also notes that LaneWatch only covers the right side.
• Infotainment: EX and EX-L models use a 7-inch touchscreen, and the system supports smartphone-style tapping, pinching, and swiping. HondaLink connectivity requires a wired iPhone connection, and the setup can support apps and an extra-cost navigation app.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test drive notes 29 mpg city and 37 highway, and the same section says the test car averaged 34.7 mpg over a week.

Which 2015 Honda Fit trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Fit is offered in 3 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the trim to consider if you want the lowest entry point and the core Fit experience without paying for extra tech or comfort features. It should suit you if your priority is value and you mainly care about the Fit’s space, efficiency, and easy ownership.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 7-inch touchscreen and HondaLink-based connectivity, giving you the biggest everyday upgrade without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want the most comfort and convenience equipment, including leather seats, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, keyless passive entry with push-button start, a power sunroof, and navigation.

The safety content notes that LaneWatch comes standard on the EX test car, while the rear-view camera is standard across the model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Fit?

The market still looks seller-friendly, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when you find a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 458 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.79% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 53.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,197, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Fit's resale value?

The current average of $11,475 sits slightly above last year's $10,646.

That upward move suggests the Fit has held buyer interest well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. The current pricing also shows that demand remains healthy enough to support values, especially for cleaner examples with strong maintenance records.

Because the model is known for practicality, efficiency, and strong owner satisfaction, it tends to stay appealing in the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Fit safe?

The 2015 Honda Fit earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a top five-star protection rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety content says LaneWatch comes standard on the EX test car, along with a rear-view camera that provides a 180-degree view behind the vehicle. Models with HondaLink also benefit from automatic collision notification if the airbags deploy.

The main caveat is that LaneWatch only covers the right side, and the safety discussion specifically calls it less intuitive than a traditional blind-spot warning system. The IIHS result also includes an Acceptable rating in the small overlap front crash test rather than Good.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.79% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The expert summary says the redesigned 2015 Fit is a rare subcompact that feels more like a reward than a penalty box to own and drive.

The bottom line: The 2015 Fit is a strong choice if you want the redesigned model’s mix of space, efficiency, and personality, especially if you value a car that feels more rewarding than most small hatchbacks. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby years, but the 2015 remains appealing because it combines strong owner satisfaction with solid expert approval.

How does the 2015 Honda Fit compare to the 2015 Ford Fiesta?

Our experts score the 2015 Honda Fit 8.5/10 and the 2015 Ford Fiesta 7.5/10.

The Fit is the stronger all-around pick if you want more space, better fuel economy, and a more practical ownership experience. The Fiesta is cheaper on the used market, but the Fit’s higher expert score and stronger utility make it the better choice for most shoppers who want a small car that does more than just save money.
