Why it stands out
The 2015 Honda Accord stands out as a midsize sedan that does a lot of things well. It is described as exceptionally well-engineered and likely to provide dependable service for many years, which gives it a strong reputation for durability. It also has broad appeal because, once business sales are removed, it is presented as the best-selling family four-door in America, a sign that it has earned trust from a wide range of buyers.
What makes the 2015 Accord especially attractive is its balance of strengths. The source says it excels at everything it is asked to do, making it an excellent choice among midsize sedans. Owner feedback reinforces that impression, with drivers frequently praising its reliability, smooth driving experience, and fuel efficiency. It is also often seen as a good value and a practical fit for families or new drivers. The main drawbacks mentioned in reviews are more limited, centering on cleanliness at purchase and concerns about the sound system, rather than major flaws in the car itself.

I love the interior and exterior design of the car and the added amenities such as the feature that allows me to start the car from inside. I feel that it’s an economy little luxury car. The only other thing that I would want would be a sunroof top.

Is the 2015 Honda Accord a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Honda Accord earns a 4.75/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.
Drivers consistently praise its reliability, smooth driving experience, and fuel efficiency. It also comes through as a strong value and a practical fit for families or new drivers. In use-case terms, that makes it especially appealing if you want a midsize sedan that balances everyday comfort, efficiency, and broad appeal.
Good and great deals account for 28.5% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2015 Honda Accord reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
User feedback repeatedly points to reliability, and the car is also described as dependable enough to serve you well over many years. The expert review reinforces that theme by calling it exceptionally well-engineered and likely to provide dependable service day in and day out for many years. It also notes that the car is quite reliable and holds its value over time.
For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about core durability and more about trim-specific equipment and condition, so you should pay close attention to how the car was maintained and equipped.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Accord?
At 45.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has any signs of prior bodywork or uneven wear. Focus on overall condition, because owner feedback points to cleanliness at purchase and sound-system concerns more than major mechanical flaws. If you are comparing multiple listings, the best candidates will be the ones with clean records, consistent maintenance, and no obvious cosmetic or interior neglect.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The LX is the most basic version, but it still includes dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch display screen, Bluetooth, Internet radio access, text-messaging support, a rear-view camera, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The Sport adds a small bump in power, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, unique 18-inch aluminum wheels, and an 8-way power driver’s seat. The EX adds 17-inch aluminum wheels, a power sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, and an upgraded sound system. The EX-L adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 4-way power passenger seat, and a touchscreen infotainment system with HondaLink, satellite radio, and Aha smartphone media connection. The Touring adds the V6 engine, navigation, LED headlights, and adaptive cruise control. The best-value trim is the Sport if you want the driving upgrades without moving too far up the price ladder.
- Powertrain: You can choose between a 4-cylinder and a V6 gasoline engine, or between a gas-electric and a plug-in gas-electric engine. The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder is described as smooth, refined, and sprightly, while the 278-hp 3.5-liter V6 is the stronger option in EX-L and Touring trims. The CVT and paddle shifters help the car feel responsive, and the Eco driving mode is aimed at maximizing fuel economy.
- Safety package: Honda’s LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring system, lane-departure warning system, and forward-collision warning system are not available on the Sport, and Automatic Collision Notification through HondaLink does not apply to the LX or Sport. A rear-view camera is standard on every 2015 Accord.
- Infotainment: The LX and Sport use an 8-inch display screen with Bluetooth, a USB port, and an auxiliary input jack. More advanced features such as satellite radio, HondaLink with Aha connectivity, navigation, and adaptive cruise control require moving up to the EX, EX-L, or Touring.
- Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle returned around 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, and the review notes that the Accord is effortlessly fuel-efficient.
Which 2015 Honda Accord trim should I buy?
The 2015 Honda Accord is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, Touring.
Here's the short version:
- LX: This is the simplest path into the Accord, but it still gives you a strong standard equipment list, including dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch display, Bluetooth, text-messaging support, and a rear-view camera. It makes sense if you want the lowest-friction way into the model and do not need extra comfort or tech.
- Sport: This is the best-value trim if you care about driving feel. It adds a small bump in power, paddle shifters, a firmer suspension, unique 18-inch wheels, and an 8-way power driver’s seat, but it does not unlock many of the higher-end tech or safety upgrades.
- EX: This is the smart step up if you want more convenience and safety equipment. You get a power sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, and an upgraded sound system, making it a well-rounded middle ground.
- EX-L: This is the comfort-focused choice. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power passenger seat, and the touchscreen infotainment system make it the trim to target if you want a more upscale daily driver.
- Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, with the V6 engine, navigation, LED headlights, and adaptive cruise control. It suits you best if you want the most features and the strongest standard powertrain.
The safety-package note is important here: some of Honda’s best driver-assistance features are not available on the LX or Sport, so if those matter to you, shop the EX or above.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Accord?
This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.
- Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 2,066 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 1.38% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 45.6% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $12,738, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Honda Accord's resale value?
The current average of $13,292 sits slightly below last year's $13,478.
That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may slightly temper what a future seller can ask. Even so, the drop is not dramatic, so the Accord still appears to be holding value reasonably well relative to its recent pricing history. If you maintain the car carefully and keep it in strong condition, you should be in a better position to preserve resale appeal.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Honda Accord safe?
The 2015 Accord earns a 5-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
Honda’s standard rear-view camera is included on every 2015 Accord, but the brand’s more advanced driver-assistance features are not spread evenly across the lineup. LaneWatch blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and forward-collision warning are not available on the Sport, and Automatic Collision Notification through HondaLink does not apply to the LX or Sport. That means you should pay close attention to trim choice if safety tech matters to you.
Should I buy a 2015 Honda Accord or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 45.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 1.38% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2015 Accord is exceptionally well-engineered and likely to provide dependable service for many years.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $11,884, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,292 average.
- It feels more upscale inside and offers strong value.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $14,503, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,292 average.
- It brings improvements that make the sedan better in several ways.
The bottom line: The 2015 is the right pick if you want a well-rounded Accord with strong owner satisfaction, solid pricing, and broad everyday appeal. If your priority is saving money, the 2014 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for incremental improvements, the 2016 is worth a look.
