How much does the 2015 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 3.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,596 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 4.8/5, and experts give it 7.3/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the power, handling, classic design, comfort, and nostalgic feel. For you, that means this Mustang fits especially well if you want a performance coupe with strong emotional appeal and a more refined, technologically improved feel than earlier versions.

The market also shows 30.5% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable and satisfying over time, with praise centered on power, handling, comfort, and the kind of ownership experience people tend to stick with. The expert evaluation also notes that Mustangs have historically been slightly better than average in quality, dependability, and ownership costs.

The expert review also suggests the redesigned 2015 model is more technologically sophisticated than earlier Mustangs, which can add complexity as the car ages. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable, but you should pay close attention to condition and maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

At 55.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage or modified car. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, missing equipment, and any quality issues that could affect daily use or resale. Because this model is a performance car, condition matters as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The test-drive notes show a sparsely equipped GT with optional Recaro performance seats, and they also note that the car can feel less complete without Ford’s MyFord Touch infotainment system. That makes trim and option content important if you want a better-equipped cabin rather than a stripped performance setup.
• Powertrain: The GT’s 5.0-liter V8 is described as delivering a sonorous, visceral rush, while the lineup also includes a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine with 310 hp. The V8 is the emotional choice, while the EcoBoost is the budget-friendly path.
• Safety package: Standard MyKey, a standard reversing camera, and standard Sync Bluetooth with 911 Assist are all part of the safety story. Blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are available, so check whether a listing has those extras.
• Infotainment: MyFord Touch with an 8-inch touchscreen is optional, and the car can also be equipped with navigation and a premium audio system with HD Radio. If you want the most modern-feeling cabin, verify that the screen and connected features are present.
• Fuel efficiency: The GT test car returned 18.6 mpg, and the EPA estimate cited 15 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. The EcoBoost is noted as returning 23.2 mpg in testing.

Which 2015 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered in 2 trim levels: EcoBoost and GT.

Here's the short version:

• EcoBoost: This is the best-value choice if you want Mustang style and strong performance without stepping all the way up to the V8. The test-drive notes call it a terrific deal for an enthusiast who prefers going around corners to accelerating in a straight line, and it can be paired with a Performance package and Recaro seats for a more focused setup.
• GT: This is the trim for you if you want the Mustang’s signature V8 character, stronger straight-line drama, and the most emotional version of the car. The GT’s 5.0-liter engine, refined manual transmission, and available performance hardware make it the standout for buyers who care most about the classic Mustang experience.

Standard safety equipment includes MyKey, a reversing camera, and Sync Bluetooth with 911 Assist, while blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control remain available options.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,596 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,600, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $19,600 sits slightly below last year's $20,329.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you’re a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition, because performance cars can be sensitive to mileage, modifications, and maintenance history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang safe?

The Mustang earns five-star ratings for nearly all NHTSA assessments, including rollover resistance, and the IIHS rates it Good in the moderate overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes MyKey, a reversing camera, and Sync Bluetooth with 911 Assist. Blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are available, so you’ll want to confirm whether a specific listing includes those features.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings a redesigned body, stronger dynamics, and more advanced technology than earlier Mustangs.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $15,726, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $19,600 average.
• It feels like the most mature version of the classic Mustang formula.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $18,553, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $19,600 average.
• It adds fresh styling touches and Sync 3 infotainment.

The bottom line: If you want the biggest step forward in design and driving feel, the 2015 is the right target. If your priority is saving money, the 2014 is the cheaper route; if you want a slightly newer take with updated tech, the 2016 is worth a look.
